Would he come here knowing he has to get past Tarks & Branthwaite to get in the starting XI , albeit it’s only a mtge of time before the latter does leave?

I wouldn't be surprised to see Branthwaite go for silly money next season, new contract or not. He'll break records when he does. Having 3 solid centre backs gives credible competition too so it can only be a good thing, assuming the lad is as promising as mentioned.

will be very please to see us bring this lad in, hopefully a full season to bed in at the club before he hopefully fill Jarrad's shoes when he most likely departs next season.

there is also a chance that Jarrad leaves late in the window for a fee that we would be happy with, so good to have a player in the building in which Dyche can have a really good look at before any deal is sanctioned.

looks a big strong lad, with decent pace. so the physicality that can't be coached.

There's no chance of Jarrad leaving in this window. Why blow a hole in the strongest part of our ship?

It'll be stupid money and United's new young CB immediately got injured in a friendly

Money, lots of it.

There is always a chance if somebody meets the clubs valuation. I would much rather an O Brian type in the squad now, rather than an over inflated prices panic buy in the last week of the window.

just good to see forward planning.

This will be the case no matter when he leaves though. Certainly there is more chance now that you’ve brought someone in.

If they pay the money then there is, as has been the case from the very start.
