Seamus Coleman

Recommended Posts

I don't know. It's a tough call. Stones had a shaky game against Norwich. The game to bring Distin back in probably isn't the derby. And he and Jags are our starting partnership. Defensive partnerships aren't really something you mess with. And we had one game before the derby to get them back together. It's a tough call to play Stones.

He DID remind me of Moyes with our shit long ball tactics and late subs though. That, and Osman on the wing.

This. Jags and Distin were excellent before they both got injured and Stones has held his own but hasn't been as good as either of the other two (as expected given his age/experience). Its not like he is dropping out of the side never to be seen again like it happened in the last regime.

flippin post didnt post :shaking fist:

google "minor soft tissue injury", sounds like a hamstring strain (plus the fact he was holding the back of his thigh!)

used the Physio room link, could be 3 weeks.

So, after Baines shat on their chips it looks Coleman will be the next of our players who will definitely be signing for United.

Hilarious, they aren't doing Moyes any favours. Their fans rate Rafael as the best right back in the league.... Then of course there is the option of smalling when Moyes shits himself when two players are talker than 6ft 3 in the other team.

He'd ruin his career going to Milan. Italian football is a joke, not to mention corrupt. Cant see Arsenal being too attractive to him either tbh. And United?

Thats what Arsenal do though isnt it buy cheap sell high.

Coleman unfortunately for them has already developed and will now command a higher fee.

The time for a £5million bid was 2-3 seasons ago.

I think that's a Martinez tactic tbf.

walking the ball into the goal? Moyes did that a fair bit too, though he mixed it up with crosses. Drives me nuts trying to walk it into the goal...

He doesn't cross the ball enough, he always looks for the cut back, same as Baines when he gets forward, we should get crosses in more often especially with Lukaku in the box.

As this proves.

Coleman won't go, it's great that players want to stay, just like Baines. We've (hopefully) got (some of) the money from Fellaini/Jelavic/Victor to spend in the summer, so there's no need to sell. Agree that we can't build a team to challenge the top 4 if we sell players like Seamus.

RM on the rumoured Manchester United interest and possible bid for Seamus Coleman “It must be a different Seamus Coleman.”

RM knows how to craft an effective and witty response. I recall he also had a great response to AVB (back when he was in charge at Spurs), which I still find funny: "Obviously we're waiting for Roberto Soldado to apologise to Phil Jagielka and use the same phonecall so we don't have to pay for two phonecalls."

Not to mention his comment after "Man U were going to bid 50 million for Barkley back in January". Something like, "50 million? No we're not letting him go out on loan". Absolutely hilarious.
