AlbanyNYToffee got a reaction from Matt in Newcastle H 27 April
Don't see a way out of this without 4 pts from the next two. Leicester is a can't lose regardless and a must win if we only manage a draw tonight. I think we should just be hoping we have something to play in the last match against Bournemouth.

Lampard could get two teams relegated in the same season .

We are in deep doo doo.
I don't think my soul and my heart can take the stress of watching the match tomorrow.

Until it's over we've got to keep hoping, otherwise what's the point?
We could give up but that would just make us hypocrites when we complain about the players doing that in games.

Looking at the balance of the squad. A fully rested Doucoure with dcl in the side along with Onana is a huge uplift in physicality.
let’s hope eh

I think I might be done... Forest, Leicester and Southampton went for it this weekend, whilst we see out another match with a whimper and no fight. I never thought I'd see Everton relegated in my lifetime, but I honestly can't see us getting over the line this season. I grew up loving the club, it's fanbase, it's community work, it's history, and whilst that can never be erased I just don't see it in the same way anymore. We used to be the plucky team that over acheives due to lack of budget, but teams hated to face because we were well drilled and full of fight and passion (in my lifetime anyway). We're now a club full of overpaid, mismatched players who look defeated and devoid of any fight. The club I love has been run into the ground and it's like watching a family pet in it's last days, I just don't want to see it suffer anymore 😭

Saw Todd Boehly trying to be the biggest nutter in the EPL. Bill said hold my beer.

Our moronic chairman has took it upon himself to release a statement on the eve of a game to make it all about him.
Got to love the biggest blue putting the club first, as always.

Feels good to say that with confidence for once.

Was curious if there is a trend in promoted sides immediately being relegated so did a little digging. Bolded are teams that only lasted one season in the league.
14/15: Hull, Burnley, QPR
15/16: Newcastle, Norwich, Villa
16/17: Hull, Boro, Sunderland
17/18: Swansea, Stoke, West Brom
18/19: Cardiff, Fulham, Huddersfield
19/20: Bournemouth, Watford, Norwich
20/21: Fulham, West Brom, Sheffield
21/22: Burnley, Watford, Norwich
17/18 is an anomaly, if trends hold it will be Forest, Bournemouth and Southampton relegated. While we should be confident we're certainly not out of the woods yet. COYB.

I think we are going to need at least one away win - at either Palace, Brighton, Leicester or Wolves.
Given the current table - I guess perfect team to beat away now would be Leicester, as it has 6 pointer written all over it.

AlbanyNYToffee reacted to plaidharper in Niels Nkounkou
On loan at St. Etienne. 10 games. 9 Starts. 4 games in switched from LB to LM. 5 assists. 2 goals.
Always felt like he would be better in midfield. Only 22. Unsure if he has a future at Everton but always good to see someone's future looking brighter than before.

AlbanyNYToffee reacted to plaidharper in Sean Dyche
People in this thread and on twitter already talking about Dyche's style next season when at the beginning of the year we looked certain to go down. Does my head in. If Dyche keeps us up with our weak and threadbare squad then he more than deserves time to sort us out his way.
Coming back twice from being down to Chelsea? Ya think that is sitting back and surviving do ya? Obviously people have already forgotten things at the beginning of the season or when we were managed by that red clown. Love the fight Dyche has instilled as well as the high press. Just hope that it continues. Need to make sure we can hold the line before we progress lest we slide back into previous poor form.
Keep doing your thing Dyche 👏

4/5 points out of these next three games would be absolutely huge, although I'd absolutely settle for 3.

AlbanyNYToffee reacted to Shukes in Ifs, buts and Maybes
As it stands, we wouldn’t be relegated. Games in hand don’t really mean much to teams that are losing. It’s more of an opportunity for your goal difference to get worse.
if you asked any team below us if they would swap their game in hand for our position they would all undoubtedly swap.
I definitely feel much better being 15th. And anyone I speak to seems much more positive about us now.
