I think Dyche needs credit on the way he has managed him back to fitness and not rushed him in, which has been so harmful to his last two seasons, and to DCL himself for keeping his head and motivation.

Dyche needs some credit for the way he has managed DC! back to fitness and into the side, he resisted the urge to rush him back and risk further injury.

Another very tidy performance from him tonight. Nothing fancy but just went about his work quietly and I don't think he put a foot wrong.

It can't be stated enough just how big of a performance that was from him tonight. Rock solid.
The highlight was keeping it out at one end only for us to go straight down the other end and make it 4-0.

His importance to the team is on par with Pickford. Just transforms the whole team layout.

Showed once again what we've been missing.
Didn't manage to score tonight but he played such a big role in that monumental first half performance.

Almost want to give it to Mina since he finally lasted 90 minutes, but I'm going with McNeil. He was pretty much involved in all the goals. Excellent game from him -- probably his best for us. Pickford was incredible too, and I could have given it to him if McNeil wasn't everywhere.

But McNeil was incredible all game. You don’t win games without goals, and he scored, forced and assisted! What a game!

I think it's clear that with a fit DCL for the majority of the season, we wouldn't be in the position we are now.

Dyche has been quite right in giving McNeil so much playing time. He knows the lad's potential, and his faith in him is justified today.
