Just out luck that Onana dropped his clusters against Galatasaray yesterday and not against us on Sunday.

Theres no guarantee Coleman will come back and be able to perform. The man is incredible in how many times he been written off but still delivered.
No doubt he should be ahead of Young but it would break my heart watching Coleman get torn to shreds each week like Young is.

Mykolenko at one point was reportedly told by Dyche he was a long way off from being PL standard, and then dropped by Dyche who obviously didn’t rate him and replaced by Godfrey who was given a few starts that were terrible so had to be dropped and with no other options Mykolenko was brought back in and given a run in the team settled grew in confidence and proved he is more than capable of the standards required for the PL. Patterson has had the same said about him, but unlike Mykolenko he hasn’t had the same opportunity as Mykolenko with a decent run in the team to settle and grow, because Dyche has refused to see and acknowledge how poor Young has been, yet I firmly believe if he had dropped Young 6-7 games ago we would have had two very good FBs in Mykolenko and Patterson but instead we only have one because of Dyche’s belief in the more experienced Young because of his age and time spent in the PL, yet he has shown very little ability to warrant his place in the team. Patterson should be given the RB position and allowed a run in the team I think it would be pretty much impossible for him to be worse than Young and who knows we could see similar success as we did with Mykolenko.

Exactly what I was getting at he has the experience of the PL Dyche’s looking for because of his age and years playing in the league, unfortunately what ever abilities he may have had have now deserted him and he’s now an experienced liability.

I would prefer it if Patterson made the same mistakes every game instead of Ashley Young. At least he's young in age and can learn from them.

2 points, this obsession with young has to stop, and keeping him on for 20 mins after the penalty is beyond belief.
2np point MacNeil needs to show some bottle and work ethic, he has back to player he was under Lampard.
Very disappointed huge step backwards against the weakest man utd we have faced for a long time.
We played the occasion not the team in front of us.

100% the enormity of expectations got to us and the players froze in front of goal. Disappointing but not disastrous in the context of the season.

The enormity and occasion of this day has definitely got to the players, so I’m not going to read to much into the performance, bar the lack of composure in front of goal we’ve done enough to win this game.

Tomorrow is the start of our rise above the unjust number of points deduction, we need to accept that it may not change and not rely on any reduction, if they are reduced it must be seen as a bonus, we must not at any point think a reduction will be the way out.

I’m not feeling  too positive that the points deduction  will be reduced, and I’m hoping that Dyche is saying the same to the squad, and psychologically preparing them for the need to win the points that we need to stay up this season and put this behind us, if they do get reduced it will be great, but let’s not bank on it knowing how wishy washy the PL are.

Given the likely ferocity of the fans and added determination of manager and players this weekend, I'm changing my prediction.
    Everton 5-0 United
    DC-L

The idiots running the PL, minus 1,000.

I agree, given the magnitude of the punishment, I want clarity of the 'crime', clarity on why our clubs arguments are not being upheld, and clarity on how the 10 point punishment has been calculated.
This biggest problem is the whole rule book, review process and system of punishment is simply too wishy washy and off the cuff. This past three or four days, been hearing this, that and the other opinions of what is right, wrong, just and injust - problem being nobody fucking knows!!!!
Premier League have come up with this FFP rule book, but seem to have put no real effort in about how it will be policed etc. Simply making it up as we go along is a fucking shambles and not acceptable.
The call now has to be for an independant regulator over the Premier League. They are simply not fit to police themsleves with out undue bias to certain selection of clubs.

There seems to be a significant bacllash againt the magnitude of the punishment that Everton have been handed out, from what I have listen to and read the shock is pretty much universal accross the footballing media and beyond. I don't think i have heard any anybody say its fair and reasonable. You would hope that this is sinking in with those who may be reviewing any appeal.
It not just people with Everton tinted glasses that are gobsmacked by this.

Trust ToffeeTalk to go offline at such am important time 😂😂😂
Anyway, like many of you, I can't remember the last time I had this much fire in my belly for the club. Its proper galvanised me and I only wish it was easy to get tickets!!!
Goodison Park is going to be the most hostile stadium in PL history. That fund for banners etc has raised £27k...we know our lot won't hold back.
You won't be able to hear the PL anthem. I feel for any PL officials that step foot into Goodison.
The PL have revealed themselves as a bunch of incompetent snakes. And the world will see it.
We've basically been punished for building a new stadium. That same stadium, which will be phenomenal, will be used by the PL to promote the 'greatness' of the league...we should tell them to fuck off and not use anything of ours to promote theirs (I know that's not how the real world works, but still...)
What's worse, is the club has communicated and played inline with several PL demands (wages, transfers etc), and been punished for relevant transparency. Yet the likes of City and Chelsea continue to be evasive...
All you guys who go every week...give it to em proper 👊🏼

You know what we’ve been waiting and talking about this for a year now, and as much as we’ve been wronged we are Everton and we will not be beaten, we will come together as a fan base a club a team and if it’s at all possible to become stronger than we already are we will. The axes has fallen and we will beat the executioner (Premier League) and come out of this season with our status in tact and our heads held high. Then we can start next season with a clean sheet and hopefully new owners and put the last 7 years behind us for good and become the club we should be in a new stadium fit for our future.
We can appeal and maybe get 1-4 points back I genuinely don’t think we will need them, I would rather stick the middle finger 🖕 up to them and do it the hard way and save our money, time and energy by beating them as the force we have always had. 73 years unbroken in the top flight and the fuckers won’t put an end to the next 73 years.

Farcical handling of the whole situation by the PL, from memory no other PL club has had points deducted, never mind mid season.
Id have been worried if this had happened 12 months ago, now I think it will drive the players on even more, maybe Europe will be a stretch this season !
