100% yes and sends a string message to other teams that we're not a selling club as we used to be.
FWIW if you look at the Facebook post, there's lots of comments saying he's not that good,  bitter reds with nowt better to do 🤔

Every defender we have fielded this season has made mistakes, not sure why your so down on him as an individual player, most on here were very critical of Colemans performance until his injury. We can't  expect Jonjoe to be perfect so early in his career, but for me he is one of the payers who will give his all in each game, and one of a very small number of players that will put a crunching tackle in .

I like this, but would put Tom in for Siggy based on last weekends performances, Siggy is letting games pass him by, and failed to deliver anything from set pieces.

Saw the game on Sky and just watched the highlights on MOTD, we weren't clinical in front of goal, if we had of been we would have won this game, 9 attempts 6 on target. That would have been 4-5 games worth last season.
if can and will improve, we need a couple of those chance to go in, and build our confidence, were clearly a work in progress so let's give it the time it needs.

I missed the first two home games, and was looking forward to today.. The first few minutes we were dominant and looked totally in control, they scored and our heads dropped so much, we seemed to loose all confidence and then gifted them a second. Clawed one back, and started second half looking like we were going to go on and win, and then threw away all hope.
I felt we were better than anything we saw under gravy chops,  we actually had a few attempts on goal, on another day, Tosun head in, puts his shot wide of the keeper and we've got three, and Niasse hits the net not the bar..
But, we didn't, we ran ourselves in to deadends so many times, passed behind each other when playing forward slowing moves down,  Tosun is clearly lacking confidence, how long can we carry on with him, Morgan's just lost his dad and gets my full sympathy , but should not have been playing, his head clearly wasn't right.
im going to out this one down as a bad day at the office, hopefully with some lessons learned.

I'm with you on this Shukes, also I think he was a great team player with loads of passion for the club, and also does loads of good work for less privileged kids, such as giving his used boots away to teams in his home town. ( Think it's his home town, either way a few of the prima donnas in the game should follow suit and do more IMO)

Well said Finn, I'd also suggest that a season ticket holder who can't make it would be able put them on stub hub at a fair price and let Shaunliam know when they are posted so he can buy them. FWIW Ive had to sell mine and wiggy juniors tickets for  Southampton and Huddersfield games as we were away, put them at club face value, wasn't interested in making a mark up, wanted some else to be able to get to the game.

Thanks for posting the twitter video, i missed the match as we're away, but I don't think we ever saw the ball moved with such confidence at any point last season, regardless of people's opinions on individual players, we are clearly playing with attacking football confidence and as a team. That I can live with after the dross of last season.

Wasn’t it his forward ball that set up Walcott down the line that got us our second goal?
He has it in his locker obviously, as it was his ball. That’s fact. You choose not to see it, but he plays forward balls all the time, linking defence and attack.
Just so we’re clear, Gana is the black one, Morgan is the other.

    What a role model!
Going to LA sums him up, full of pretentious, vain, narcissistic people with no culture.
Seamus bought the hotel near his home in Donegal  when it went bust, saving the jobs of the staff and helping the local economy, that's remembering your upbringing.

Hedgehog is very popular, particularly since the economic downturn, its cheap and readily available, I'm not too keen though, it sticks in my throat a bit too much.

I agree, I think he'll be very good for us, Re not playing, Allardyce clearly didn't want to develop any talent just grind out dull results, Mason was not going to get much playing time under him.

Pickford was brilliant, he's had three games where he's not really been involved,  last night similar for most of the early part, and managed to stay focused to pull out that fantastic save, I think this tournament will really help with his development and Everton ultimately.

I agree, you've got to earn your place and then perform well enough to keep it, no one should have an assurance hey place regardless.
