Wiggytop got a reaction from KinL in Conor Coady
It also looks like he is really happy here, that will have a big impact on his decision to stay.

If he's not careful he'll be needing a florist.

I hope we don’t leave it until the end of the season. No reason we can’t have the agreement in place before then. We’re building a team that’s tough and consistent, he’s a part of it. We need the certainty before the season finishes.

And it’s Goodison under the lights, let’s make it a horrible place for them to come to, we did it a Southampton with low numbers, a full Goodison is going to be fantastic, I can’t wait.

Such a Hugh turn around from last season, I think we need to add Pickford as a key contributor, he’s made some fantastic and vital saves this season, and Begovic when called upon.

Thanks Matt, I’ve enjoyed watching those clips, I’m away and missed MOTD, Pickford really made sure we got the three points with two outstanding saves.

3rd highest in the league for through balls as well. Will only improve with Maupay’s movement in front of him as well.

You just have to look at the MotM stats on this forum, since Lampard has taken over he is now nearing 200 votes, in half a seasons worth of games. That is a serious turn around in form for a player pretty much every one of us would have seen sold had any sort of reasonable offer come in. The new management have to get some serious brownie points for what getting the best out of Iwobi.

Thanks to our very own @Wiggytop?

That’s not how I see it, previously he half heartedly tackled, ran like a crab sideways across the pitch, didn’t make good passes, to me he’s now the opposite which is all good.

I almost voted for him. You have to be mentally tough to step into a game like that after sitting on the bench for months and keep a clean sheet. He deserves his vote.

Love this, he looks so calm when on the ball and always looking quickly for who's available for a pass. Almost all of his passes are forward passes as well.
Great work for the goal as well, starts things off in the middle with the ball out to Mykolenko, and settles initially in to a defensive position to cover Myk but then spots the space to run into to receive the ball again where he can drive forward and pick out Maupay. Really good awareness.

Went looking for my comments in this thread but apparently i left the really bad stuff in the matchday posts. He's had many a critic on here and I was towards the front of the queue. While this is a great place to share our thoughts and grievances it's also very important we admit to our mistakes. I would like to formally apologize to Alex. Many have been watching Everton for decades so I'm sure others jump to mind but in my 15 years I have never seen anyone have a turnaround like his. He was absolute trash no way around it and now he is our most important player. Full credit to him (with a decent assist from the coaching staff) on persistence and unlocking his potential.

Agreed, I’ve made my vote, but wouldn’t argue with anyone else choice either.

I love it when you see more than 2-3 nominees for motm it shows the team are playing well together, long may it last.

Just said the same in the Coady thread, the picture looks like a big brother looking after his younger kid brother 👍

I thought he was brilliant yesterday, read the game well, tackled, good passes, cool under pressure, where was all the headless chicken stuff we were promised we would get again.

He certainly offers something different to Dom up front, I don’t think Dom would have tried that shot, I’d like to see if we’re able to get them together as a pairing. I like his post match interview also, seems to get us, and knows if he does the bis, he will be loved by the fans.
