Its a shame the Mailand Niles move didn't come off. Think he would have given us excellent cover over a number of positions.
Something tells me Arsenal where maybe trying to squeeze us to an Iwobi type obligation to buy transfer fee. We may have learnt our lesson in paying inflated fees on deadline day!!.

Burnley look to have done some good business. I'd have been all over Conor Roberts as RB for 2.5m

We've got 3 keepers though so we'll be fine 🤪

Brands is lucky our cheap transfers so far have performed above expectation because otherwise this would have been the worst window in a long long time. No RB is inexcusable IMO.

The lack of a proper Everton (not loan) RB to succeed Coleman is a crime that has been committed since the Steve Walsh days.  Brands whole entire tenure we have needed to fill that hole, and it looks to be another year without filling.  Absolutely criminal.  Coleman will get injured, he will miss time, it’s a fact, I love the guy but he’s old and has a lot of miles on that body.

cautiously optimistic, we haven't played any real good sides yet, so it's still hard to tell.

I think we need to be prepared that it might be a rather underwhelming end to the transfer window for us. Unless we can offload some of our high earners, we're not going to be able to bring in much of anything.
Only way I can really see us having cash to splash is if Mbappe goes to Madrid (which is looking more likely) and PSG goes in for Richarlison. Otherwise, I think we're going to struggle to find buyers for some of our first team guys that we're trying to get rid of.

    Good point.
If only it had stood. May have just kicked him on.  If he doesn't leave, deserves a chance.

I fear for us when we come up against one of the free scoring sides.

Coleman’s 300th match in the Everton shirt.  Class act all the way, every year.

Arsenal must still be laughing about his sale.
Can't see a club being interested at anywhere near what we gave. We would struggle to get half.

Remember Martin Dobson a £300,000 signing in the early seventies. One of his nicknames was Dobbin.
Sorry lads just had a flashback.

Whatever you're taking, I'd like some.
This is the perfect season to take a risk on two or three members of the U-23 squad.

As much as Rafa needs one he doesn't have a magic wand.
We must give him a chance and hope for the best.

I would hope that the thinking Evertonians give our new manager a chance. He's inherited a pretty shit scene to work with. Let's see what happens when the season has kicked off and the transfer window is closed.

He will build the stadium and everyone will declare him a savior.  I’d rather play in a shed and win stuff than play in the thunder dome and be bottom half.

He’s a waste of space isn’t he? Even if you’re generous with the instability and managers of different standings and strategies that have come and gone, we might have expected him to sort out the youth set up a bit and bring some players through. On the plus side he always looks like he’s in an advert for Burton’s Menswear, so that’s something.

Pinch of salt here mate - Brands has shown he is a top top negotiator and I’m sure he won’t be letting Mino take us for a ride here.

Don't get the discussions as whether these 2 are wingers or not, neither pulled up any trees in there heyday, neither held a permanent place in a premier side.
Neither will improve us, this is back to Moyes days when no money was available, why are we in the bargain basement, with billionaire owners, and a new manager who must have had assurances about money available. Even the keeper we have signed is well past his sell by date, if not in years then certainly in talent, any one who watched Bournemouth in the play off semi final would not have been impressed, Hennessey would have been a better bet imo. let alone our own under study keeper.
Why do we have all the highly rated players in the under 21s and under 23s, yet still bring in journeymen with no interest in us or our future.
The whole strategy at the moment worry's me, and points towards another under achieving season.
I hope there is more on offer than has been shown so far.
