I just don't get how we can be punished twice for the same bad spending spree when we've been on the right track for almost three years now... So the PL's solution towards making clubs sustainable is to threaten them with relegation to the Championship and to put them in even more perilous financial positions without PL revenue?
Could've seen this coming a mile away with Forest. I believe Leicester and Wolves were also pushing the limits.

RIP and a big thank you to Bill for his thoughtful contributions and being a staple of ToffeeTalk. I'm sorry for the loss, though if he is indeed 96 year old Billy Ingham, no doubt a long life fully lived. My condolences, Patto.

As a general note, this is an opportunity to thank all of you for contributing to this community - as someone who came to this forum as a new football fan and new Evertonian, I have learned so much from being a member here and thank all of you for increasing my knowledge, football, Everton, and many things else and I preemptively forgive all of you for the brain damage you've caused me on Brexit and Romelu Lukaku.

I think it's made fans from a few clubs actually detest much about the game but love our clubs more. Sad state of affairs.

To all at Toffee Talk thanks for all the kind words Bill did love it on here.
and I know towards the end his big frustration was not being able to come on and have his say I think his last contribution was to get Beto Haha I wonder was he impressed with him.
so thanks to all the kind words are much appreciated.

Echo all the sentiment above - Bill was and always will be a huge part of ToffeeTalk. I remember him as one of the mods when I first joined and had his own forum on standby whenever ToffeeTalk needed a few more pennies to keep the lights on - it was often ‘down’ and Bill’s forum filled the void. As above, I didn’t always share Bill’s views on Everton but he was clearly a huge Evertonian.
Love to @patto and family 💙
Finally, @patto I think it’s kind of cool that you and @Bill never revealed your link.

Known him on TT for the best part of two decades, I disagreed with him pretty much for two decades. I know I had a lot of respect for him and he will be missed by a lot of people here on TT
Bill made as big a contribution to this place as anyone over the years. He’s a major part of what TT is today and for that I’m grateful.

Condolences to Patto and the rest of your family.

    Rest easy Bill.

Sadly today I have to inform the good folk of ToffeeTalk that Bill, an active and constant TT member for more than twenty years, passed away on Wednesday.
In his time he contributed more than eighteen and a half thousand posts and spent many years as a valued moderator and admin, he was really part of the fabric of the site from virtually day one. He didn't always see eye to eye with everyone and was never shy of offering his opinions if he disagreed with something...no bad thing.
I was informed of the sad news yesterday by @patto, who revealed that he was Bill's brother, so condolences and sympathies to him and all Bill's family from all at ToffeeTalk, he'll be missed.
He's doubtless now somewhere telling The Golden Vision how he could've improved himself with a better work ethic!
Thanks Bill, aka Toffeelicker, RIP mate.

I'm not even going to comment on the rest of the game because that red card decision is an utter disgrace and I am raging. It's all I can concentrate on tbh.
I have never been one to think there's some sort of agenda against us but the amount of utter bollocks decisions that go against us is just getting ridiculous. That tonight was beyond a joke. Dom was not reckless, Dom was not out of control. So how the fuck can VAR decide after the ref saw nothing untoward that there was a clear and obvious error? WHAT THE FUCK?! He barely even touches him (if at all) and takes the ball. You'll see challenges like that every single game that go totally unpunished. You'll probably see an opposition player do the exact same thing against us in the next few weeks and absolutely nothing will happen. Why? Because IT'S NOT A FUCKING FOUL! And it's not violent conduct.
It's us though so of course it is, and of course it won't be rescinded. So that's us another player light for the next three games.
    Fuck off.

Luton is about his level, he's a very mediocre footballer. The fact that he played with Chelsea, Villa and Nice without sticking around shows just how bang average he is. Anyone with an ounce of ability could look half decent at Kenilworth Road.

Right before I sign off to avoid the usual shite that I can already smell lurking...
    That was piss poor.
From everyone. Dyche. The players. The tea lady.
It's not often we have lost and can say we were well off it, today is one if those times though.
    Deserved nothing.
The players do need to keep their belief though. It's too easy to let confidence slip and let little petty arguments creep in on the pitch.
I'm sure Dyche will remind them of the good they've done this season. And hopefully tear up the 5 at the back blueprint!
We'll be sound this season. We were always going to hit a sticky patch. We're in it.

And that's why I've got so much patience with him. He can frustrate but the results are coming and, more importantly, the performances are what I think an Everton side should be; gritty when needed, creative and possession based when possible, classy as much as practically allowed. I'm loving it.

He's given us our Everton back, he really has.
He deserves a huge amount of credit for what we're seeing from these players.
We should only be 10 points off City at this point. Insanity.

Knew we'd shit the bed in this fixture. Gutted at first to be missing it but now I'm not so sure, what a fucking embarrassment.
This lot won't get 10 points all season but they'll take six off us.

Quality tonight. Noteworthy, some might say.
His pressing was invaluable and a very tidy finish for his goal.
£15m is going to be a steal.
