Everton have won just two of their past 10 away league games against Wolves (D4 L4), winning 3-0 in April 2011 and 2-1 in January 2021. Wolves are winless in their final league game in each of the past four calendar years (D1 L3), failing to score a single goal in these games. Their last such win was at Spurs in 2018 (3-1). This is the eighth consecutive calendar year that Everton’s final league game is away from home. They’re unbeaten in their past four, beating Newcastle in 2019, Sheffield United in 2020 and drawing with Chelsea and Manchester City in 2021 and 2022 respectively. Everton manager Sean Dyche has only lost one of his past eight Premier League games against Wolves (W3, D4), although that lone defeat did come in this season’s reverse fixture back in August (0-1). I’d be interested to see danjuma play the 10 with four in the back, but Dyche clearly isn’t going to go that direction and this is the next best thing for me.
