I can’t be anymore confused by what I’m reading.

Relegation is in no way a good thing for Everton.
Relegation is the single worst thing that can happen to the club on the pitch.
    Relegation offers no benefits whatsoever.
Relegation offers the possibility of the club being financially damaged beyond anything we’ve seen before, especially during a £500m stadium build.
Relegation offers the threat of Everton not being a top tier club for decades, especially while other clubs with good investment and a good strategy solidify their places in the Premier League.

If you sit in your seat at Goodison Park every week, spend thousands each year watching the team, pour all of your emotions into every goal we score, and you think we can benefit from going down, let’s talk about it. Convince me I’m wrong here. But I’ll start the conversation; I’m not wrong.

Funny, I feel like a large section of this message board (probably myself included) thought ourselves too good for Howe. Now Howe is flying high and we're the ones who are desperate.

Happy for the USA. Fully deserved win. If they had a bona fide striker, they'd be a very dangerous team.

Money doesn’t mean success. If we haven’t learnt that after the last few years - we are truly fucked

The last thing we need is another manager trying to sort the shit show that is on the club.

Such a joy to watch, not only for his skills / potential but the joy he gets from the game.  For a guy who is smart, speaks at least 5 languages, is stylish, can sing, and making money as a young person he could easily just be into social media, cars, women, other distractions, etc but this guy genuinely loves a tackle.  Love to see it.

    Couple of thoughts:
If you guys don't like Charles, would you consider taking Donald Trump as your King? It'd be a perfect fit, he loves attention but should be nowhere near power, holds views from the colonial times, and has a terrible sense of interior decor?

It would appear John Burns has taken to writing under the penname India Lawrence

Who would have thought… a family steeped in age old traditions, prisoners caged in luxury homes, told what to wear, how to act.  Could be a bit dysfunctional.
wouldn’t thank you for one day of their lives.

“Character is a talent and a skill in its own right,” Lampard said, addressing the notion that with Richarlison gone, there is a shortage of star power in the Everton ranks. “My gut feeling is that Conor Coady was telling people what to do when he was 12 years old.
“But you have to buy it unless you are a manager fortunate enough to walk in to a club where you see people sitting in the corner who you can tap in to. If you don't see it you have to recruit it,” the manager continued, alluding to the “broken” squad, in his words, over which he assumed control at the end of January.
“You need enough players who will pass on the message of what you are trying to do. You get an hour and a half on the training ground every day but the players will spend much more time than that together. So if you have people who are passing the message on it makes your job a lot easier.
“If I ask what the plan was this summer, it was this: Can we bring more personality into the team? 'Can we be more solid at the back? Can we bring more youth that will develop and get better? I think we have done that. Now it's up to us — and me — to work and show that we are doing a good job.
“Outside the fanbase maybe there is a more casual or lazy view that Everton are big historically and should be in the top eight after the money that we spent a while ago. But it doesn't work that way.
“I am very driven and Evertonians are very driven and want to get back to where we want to be. But it's hard to set expectations because this Premier League is so challenging.
“To think we can go from a relegation battle and solve those problems in a window (is wrong). And you can't solve them in one day on the training pitch. I think Evertonians are very understanding. No one is expecting us to go to the moon.”

Rumour is Leicester haven't signed anyone and have clubs circling for their players is because they're fucked by FFP too.

Intentional or not, never a red. Richarlison earned getting fouled - had it been a more dangerous challenge/had he been injured, perhaps a red but he invited that

Seems to be adding more in terms of goals in his second full season of Premier League football.
Who'd have fucking thought a young player might improve on end product?! Mind. Blown.

Agreed, also looks to me that Williams "fell" as heavily as he could onto Richarlison; I'd have given him a yellow as well.
