Marouane Fellaini

Recommended Posts

I was reading through some previous responses and all I could see was some altercations between participants ?

If we go back far enough to when this thread was still relevant, it does seem possible that Fellaini may leave in the next window opportunity, but I do feel it won't be until end of season, and of course see where we have ourselves with regards a champions league place or not. Then Fellaini may make a decision, there's no sense in just wanting out when the club is doing so well and with every chance of champions league soccer again. At least wait until end of season and see what that finally brings.

And Chelsea offer £22,00,000 ? They can fuck off with that. It's bad enough that his next destination could be West London of all things, but that's a derisory offer, and only make seven million profit from his initial arrival ? If, or when, Fellaini does depart I hope it's anywhere but Stamford Bridge, or Anfield just for good measure, but would be disappointed with anything less than £30,000,000 for the player. But we can only wait for the time of when a departure actually occurs and take it from there.

Did you say the same regarding Chelsea?

No. I don't like Arsenal at all, but I do like Chelsea. I also like Everton (on the first place together with Chelsea), followed by Tottenham, Brighton and Man City. Last year I also liked Norwich & Fulham, but I lost interest in those and gained interest in Everton and Tottenham. My interest in on the other hand Man City diminished. Also Villa and West Brom take my fancy.

The question was, do you want Fellaini in Royal Blue? Or in Abramovich Blue?

Fucking hell, the kid's got more clubs than Tiger Woods..

To be fair, I have soft spots for many clubs as well, Everton are my first and foremost love, and the only club whose shirt I own.

Edit* I think it's completely different to be a Liverpool born and breed Everton fan versus becoming a fan later in life.

I don't think thats the case, "born not manufactured" tends to ring true, possibly due to the clubs integrity and family feel.

Not many of us would want the team to cheat to win or be bankrolled as the success would be unearned. Makes me sick that others value winning by any means and their fans are likeminded.

Look at it from the bright side, without those teams I doubt you'd see back your 20 million pounds you paid when you bought Fellaini if he'd leave. Except Man United, but the market value of these players would seriously drop anyway, so... maybe it'd be 15 million then instead.

We'd probs get to keep him and win a lot more without them teams around.

Remember ....... this is a site that welcomes fans of all clubs, but it is an Everton fan site first and foremost.

As much as you get a buzz from enjoying our club, and that also of other clubs, your emotions are probably not too troubled by whether Everton win or Chelsea win, or whether Fellaini stays here or goes to Chelsea,

Everton fans on the other hand support their team with all their heart, and as much as we have a little soft spot for almost 'all' other clubs, as sport fans, we really don't have soft spots for the Sky teams, or the billionaire owned teams, as it is their money and investment which prevents our own club, and many like us from having a fair environment in which to compete.

When you think how close we are to breaking into the top 4 places this season, and then have those rich twats attempt to dismantle our team before our eyes, you can imagine we would have little patience for Chelsea fans coming on to our forum winding us up, but at least they would be Chelsea fans, and not European fans who half like them, and half like someboddy else, so they know what it feels like to experience defeat against us, not to mention their own highs and lows.

Can you imagine then, how niggly it is, to have a Belgium lad with no roots to our club, telling us how great Fellaini is, and how much better he is than any other player in our team, at the exact same time he is linked with a transfer.

Can you also imagine how niggly it is for that Belgium lad to be a Chelsea fan too ?

It reminds me of the ship in a force 10 gale, when all are puking their guts out except one guy, who is laughing, and whistling, and loving the splash of the waves.

That is why you get negative responses, and that is why you need to be a little bit tactful while all this shit is going on. smile.png

It is true what you say, yet, remember that this fellow who has nothing to do with the Premier League, is just as much of an Everton fan as well :P Plus I didn't say he was better than any other player at EFC. I said Baines was of an equal level in his own specialisation. I know you can't compare a leftback with a battering ram, but I use the world top as a reference then.

I wish to cease the opportunity to get all prejudice out of the way that I favour Belgian players. I'll admit it were the Belgian players that got me interested in the EPL, and there's simply no players I know more about than them. I could see how it would be natural to think that the forum prick would also favour his own kind, but the truth is far from it. I remember the last 3 players I recommended were French: Knockaert, Mangala and Yanga-Mbiwa. And I have no affinity whatsoever with France. When I recommended a Belgian I had very good reasons for it. The most important one I mentioned was Mignolet, cause he's one of the best goalkeepers in the EPL at the moment and he's stil young. Very intelligent and amazing reflexes. I don't see how that's irrationally favouring players of my own nationality. So I'd appreciate it if the forum users don't keep reminding me of that prejudice. ;)

No mate, you're not.

Example: I'm married to a beautiful woman, who has earned my respect, and together we have taken all that life throws at us, and will continue to do so, even when we're old and ugly, and have to wipe each others arses.

You happened to notice she had nice tits, and took a liking to her, with a view of sliding in and shagging her while she is hot, as long as she doesn't mind you also banging her mate, who is also hot, and filthy rich.

I fell in love because she was a great person. You got a stiffy because her mate wore fine clothes and jewellery, and had a great boob job. You like to remind the Mrs that she can't afford those sparkly dresses, but she's 'not bad'.

You are nothing like an Evertonian. You are simply somebody who discovered Everton, and took an interest. One day, you might be, but not today.

I think if a big enough offer comes in he will be gone. Why Chelsea though? no champs league and no manager, if the offer comes on it will be from City who want to cover Ya Ya Toure going. Fergie must think he can win the league anyway and wont bid till the summer, only other option is a Russian team which i wouldnt be dissapointed if that happens and he went for the dough. Hulk went afterall, If he does go id expect Davey to keep the money till the summer and push the boat out for a big loan signing Lampard till the summer? Although id like him to go for McCarthy from Wigan

So, why do you always favour Belgian players then? ;) can we please discuss Fellis possible departure now instead of all of this crap? At least in this thread?

It would be a massive loss if he did go, but on the other hand, we did do well during his suspension and 25-30 mil would be great if we were able to reinvest 18-25 mil and pay off a big chunk of the loans.

Id prefer it if he stayed.

We are so close to qualifying to the Cl that we can almost taste it. Im quite sure that Everton wont sell Felli if they havent got a good replacement lined up.

Exactly.

Chelsea are losing with 2 minutes to go in the FA semi final, and you are on an Everton forum, oblivious to it.

I watched all of the game ;) . I just can never focus on a game for 90 minutes straight. You guys comment all the time in the match thread during a game as well :P

I'm not into this booming and hate to be a kill-joy but it's the league cup not FA!!! (sorry!) Mirallas is turning out to be one of our joke posters though so proceed with his assassination/Felli thread!

Thankj Mark back on Topic.... cant see him leaving in Jan think his heart is at Everton we gave him his chance, and like Baines he just wants to play football and not live the media circus. I can see him staying if we show signs of progress and get Europa league we have a chance of keeping him, Champs League i think he will stay no europe sadly all bets are off.

According to the bbc, DM has gone out saying that Fellaini will be at Everton until the end of the season and probably for an even longer time.

Brilliant news!

I want it to be true, but he could just be playing hardball in order to keep interest off him or raise his price. Though if he does indeed have a release clause I don't know how much good that would do. Let's hope it's true!
