Avinalaff
Tough one to call today.
Bailey
Fellaini just for me. I only got a decent stream in the second half but he was infuential in stopping Villa's attacks. Baines was second imo.
Wall Writer
Tough one indeed,, couldn't really pick any one individual out, as I think overall the team played well (except for the goals we conceded). However, gone for Baines, as he is by far our most consistent player.
Matt
seriously could be anyone except Rodwell or Bily, not that they were bad they just didnt do anything. Going to have to think about this, initial reaction is Felli, Ossie, Cahill or Baines....
flaminfox
Gave it to felli just because of how well he controlled the game. I was going to give it to Rodwell because of the improved performance but Felli just oozed quality
badaids
To be fair could have gone to felli, baines or ossie, but went for Cahill just because he was a constant pain for the defence playing up front out of position. a lesser defender than Dunne (who played well today, and needed to) would have struggled i think. SimonButtle
had to be Baines, if he keeps this run of form up, fuck knows how we will keep hold of him, and there was one moment were Drenthe slipped a backheel overlap into Baines and he got to it but the cross was'nt great, looks like the 2 of them will work well together
Steve_E
Good team performance. I went with Fellaini in the end. He won possession, his passing was spot on generally, he wasn't afraid to have a go from outside of the box and he did really well to win that header in the opposition's box to offer Jagielka that scoring opportunity. DonKey
I thought bar the goal Distin looked good and broke up a lot Villa attacks. Baines looked back to his old self. It's probably no conincidence that the transfer window is closed and Jagielka plays better. Cahill led the line well, and the lads who came off the bench all added something. Toss up between Distin, Baines and Felli for me.

Steve_E
I think Jagielka was much more solid defending wise than the last couple of weeks. But his passing was awful once again. He had 21 stray passes today and only 22 good ones. If Heitinga is fit, I'd play him with Distin.
marcus jones
Mine went to Baines, this guy is just a monster, you watching Ashley Cole?

dark
Thought that Vellios stood out for us for the last few minutes that he was on, could have easily scored on a number of occasions had it not been for Given (who is a top class keeper IMO) Drenthe had a really good debut and for me should be starting now, he clearly has the skill for it and if he's not fit enough then just bring him off when he gets too tired. Seeing as he started and finished the game I gave MOTM to Fellaini. One of his better performances tonight
toptoffee
Drenthe only got a little while on, but I think he is looking good and the team played very well. More performances like that and i think we will do well this season.MOTM had to be fellaini took controlin the middle of the park and was just quality...who needs arteta
c1982
Felli looked so comfortable - class. Also Osman, Cahill, Baines and Coleman had excellent games. The thought of Coleman/Drenthe as our wingers makes my balls tingle!
codders78
I went with Osman. I thought he worked well with Cahill and helped him with his performance, got the goal won the penner should have had another. Aside Hibbert, Jags, Distin anyone of them could have won it to be fair
StevO
coleman for me, to come back after five weeks and just fall back in like normal. he was great today, we could have great counter attacking with him and drenthe (i still hope donovan comes back too)

jonno
Fellaini.. Good passing, control and vision. Christ Jona32, did you fly home!! I just got in.
StevO
lack of pace? i mean hes not as quick as agbonlahor but he is faster than most.
DonKey
Yes Coleman adds directness, but the number of times he ran up his own arse got a little frustrating today. He was the worst of the back four.. again. Don't see why people still think he should be in the 11, his arse should be full of splinters by now. Still wasn't up with the standard of performance we're used to seeing from him... but it was an improvement.
Bulletproof Tiger
Some good performances but Baines was the man today
smeghead1
Felli was awesome today and must mention Dustbin, knew he was quick but seriously today he was like lightening. Oh on a final note the referee today was shite penalty all day long and how he never booked warnock for assaulting Cahill were beyond me. He's the weakest link and we have better anyway.
Louis
Coleman for £12m? I'm sure had someone bid 12m for him, he would have been sold. He cost 60k-150k depending on the report you read.
