Bailey
Redmond playing very well again. If not for poor finishing from his teammates Southampton would be out of sight and he'd have a couple of assists to his name. Yeh he was brilliant tonight, put a couple of chances on a plate for his team mates to miss!
Cornish Steve
How about three home losses in a row? They're playing Wolves over the weekend.

Cornish Steve
Well done Omar Niasse for scoring Hull's winner and also hitting the crossbar. According to the BBC report, "Everton-reject Niasse proved a constant nuisance" to United.

MikeO
Would be better if we were still in it . True enough but if you'd offered me nine league points (conceding no goals) and a cup defeat from January on New Years Eve I'd have taken it. Agreed. That loss was the kick up the ass we needed. I'm fine with it. Especially with our thin squad, league is fine, we will need reinforcements in the summer hopefully for Europe. Cornish Steve
A realistic goal for this season now is to finish above Liverpool. At this rate, though, 12th would be good enough to do that.
markjazzbassist
Some other upsets in the FA cup but luckily Chelsea and City are winning which increases our likelihood of Europe at 7th.

MikeO
Yes, it was. A real shame. Specially as they were ahead until the 89th min . Great stuff from Lincoln and Oxford though. rubecula

johnh
And from Sutton. Leeds put out almost a reserve team. All the teams who were subject to a 'giant killing' did the same. The FA should fine clubs who field weakened teams. The Football League fined 12 clubs who put out weak teams in the Checktrade Trophy. Mind you, they were all lower league clubs, the 'big boys' get away with it. Matt

They've been doing so well in the championship I imagine the manager tanked in the cup so the team could fully focus on promotion. I really hope they make it up for your sake John. markjazzbassist
david luiz free kick for the goal. Chelsea up 1-0. the Liverpool players in the wall just stood there, didn't even jump. had they jumped it would have been blocked. mignolet didn't even move. johnh
As a matter of interest, John, did you ever watch 'Damned United'? Yes Steve, I did see it, long time ago though, can't remember much about it. Seem to remember that Leeds fans thought there was too much 'artistic license' involved. I also know the author of a couple of Leeds United books in the 'Dirty Leeds' series. Good read.

Leeds won't make automatic promotion but should be in the play-offs. Some good teams in the play-offs this year so its going to be tough. markjazzbassist
