Cornish Steve
Spurs are so overrated this season. Other than Arsenal (against whom they lost) and Chelsea (where they tied), they have yet to play any team in the top half of the table. It's not that difficult to look good when you play weaker teams.

Louis
Those points are right Steve_E, he won't be eligible under the current rules (which were updated in 2009). Don't read too much into it, Capello didn't know the eligibility rules in the UK either, he wanted to call up Arteta, Sven Goran Erikson wanted several players aswell. Dalziel Kane
I can't abide anything to do with the english soccer team, but only to say, the national team here should be managed by an englishman. Capello did great things in his native Italy on a domestic front, as did Eriksson with IFK Gothenburg, but (both) made a real mess of things when given the job. Brian Clough was the greatest manager you never had, and turn him down in favor of Ron Greenwood ? Fools.
Cornish Steve
Brian Clough was the greatest manager you never had, and turn him down in favor of Ron Greenwood ? Fools. My opinion as well. But can you imagine the extreme embarrassment that Cloughie would have brought time and again to the good ole boy network at the FA? Mind you, it would have been a boatload of fun. Cornish Steve
http://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/oct/07/adnan-januzaj-belgium-rejects-manchester-united A bit more about Januzaj. It comes to something when last year's champions must rely on an 18-year-old, who cost them under £300,000 and who's played just one good game against the worst team in the league, to save their season. It reveals just how big is the hole into which they've fallen.
Romey 1878
Harry Kane managed to get a hat-trick for the U21's tonight. It was only against San Marino but I'm still flabbergasted. pete0 and Matt

Lol no idea. Just noticed they'd won 4-0 and decided to check the scorers and got the shock of my life. Peter H
Sweden leading 2-1 over Germany right now. Totaly unfair tbh. Ibra not playing so its not even the strongest team. Kacaniklic (fulham) has scored. Thats now 6 straight goals for Sweden against Germany before they got one back. (Sweden scored 4 straight goals in the last game against Germany and were 2-0 up in this one) Need England to win to have a better chance of a good seeding for the play offs
Peter H
Now 2-2 and looks like Sweden will get a tougher play off match

Just wish it didnt matter as much as it does. Looks like Ukraine, Croatia, Portugal or Greece in the play off. Dont fancy Swedens chances against any of them If I had to pick one id pick Greece Edited October 15, 2013 by Peter H
