Steve_E
Gareth Barry. His passing was great and he did his job shielding the back four. McCarthy did well too. markjazzbassist
Ian C
JOHN MOTHERFUCKING STONES. s/o's to Barry and McCarthy.
Peter H
Stones saved us several times. Could have given it to Barry but Stones just edged him imo
Scottishguy
Gave it too Stones. Thought Naismith done well in the first. McCarthy, Barry & the barca kid did well too. Congrats.
Dalziel Kane
Stayed with the game the entire duration but hard to determine individual performances by way of radio updates, hardly got a mention all afternoon. McCarthy seemed to impress and made his presence known, Deulofeu had a decent time of things and had a hand in the only goal of the game, so going with the latter on this occasion. Toffee_in_LA
I will say that I was only able to watch the full first half and then had to minimize my window a lot throughout the second half due to being in a workshop for a class of mine. I won't vote as a result but for me, Barry was the MOTM. Especially in the first half, he always seemed to be in the right place at the right time to strip them off the ball and rarely played a bad pass. Stones is a close second for me, the lad has impressed me tremendously and has grown so much. Edited April 12, 2014 by Toffee_in_LA
Cornish Steve
Stones almost gave the game away in the first half with his short pass attempt across his own box - the second time in as many weeks. Let's hope he learns from it. He did, however, stop a certain goal and played well. You know, it's nice to see him being voted as player of the game even after making such a bad mistake, because a single mistake like that shouldn't be held against him, no matter how stupid it was. Personally, I voted for Deulofeu. Despite being frustrating at time, he jinxed their defence a few times and was responsible for the winning goal. gethinO
Barry for me. Seems to cover everyone in our team. Such an intelligent player.
Newty82
Only watched the last 20mins so no way could I vote! I need to learn that ways do exist to watch without staring at BBC/Sky app's!!! We where under pressure for my part! Dalziel..c'mon dude, how can you vote based on a little bit of a mention on the radio?!!!
London Blue
Stones, just from Barry and McCarthy, such maturity and concentration form a young player.
Bailey
Barry and McCarthy were the best two on the pitch and their drive, energy and passing was excellent. I just gave it to McCarthy for his block he made on one of the Sunderland players who only had to cross the ball into the box where they were 4 vs 2 against our CB's and also for one of his crosses in the final third that Naismith should have done better with. Shukes
Gotta go for Howard. Thought we put in a real lazy bad performance and Howard made a few routine stops that on another day could have cost a goal. Really didn't think any impressed enough to deserve a MoM. Stones was one of the better I agree, as was Naismith. jerry got a deflection through attrition rather than good play. Mcgeady looked the best player on the pitch when he came on. Sibdane
Went with Stones, though I thought Duelofeu caused a lot problems for Sunderland too.
Vranny
Not a game of outstanding performances, but went with Barry. Just did the basics right and nipped out a lot of Sunderland's attacks. Stones was a close second, with Naisy the most impressive attacking option (just needed to bury his chances).
