Yup, row C.

Was really surprised, trawling through the dodgy seats up in the gods then these two (only two) popped up :).

And what seats :o.

Third row (as I said) just to the right of the hospitality ones and the half way line; absolutely 100% perfect full view of the pitch and the seats were padded and the floor carpeted! I kid you not; it was just the front four rows that were like that and just the one small block. Josh and I couldn't believe it, I kept expecting someone to come along and say "you're in our seats" and the stewards to chuck us out .

Could almost reach out and touch Ron/Ronnie/Ronald and loved glancing at his expressions, ITV presenter with Kev and Ossie were right in front of us.

Still be in the Gwladys next time though; it was an experience but the atmosphere was a bit too civilised for me.

Little harsh, no?

Not gonna keep harping because I do believe that would be excessive after one match for us, but I have no faith that he'll prove me wrong, but I stand by everything I've said so far in this thread and if he does prove me wrong, great.

I don't want him to fail because he's an Everton player and I can't have anything against him (shit, I'd take a contract if I was offered one), but I'm pretty confident he will fail if he keeps seeing significant time on the pitch.

Calvert-Lewin is joy to watch.

Don't get what people don't see in him.

Went with two neutrals last night. Both off them asked who he was and said he's one of our best players out there.

Caused problems all night, created chances, and how does he win so many headers for a young lad.

Lot of fans seem to want to be proved right and see him fail I think.

The reception he received as he left the field shows how well he played.

I've said this on a few occasions now it doesn't work with Schneiderlin and Gana on together, we don't create enough the pace is slow, we look very defensive like we have six defenders on the pitch.

They weren't a good team we made them look better than they are with our defensive set up, I worry that this is how we will play this season, with a don't concede mentality and hope we can nick a goal from somewhere, hope not or I can see a lot of 0=0 or 1=1 results this season.

We've got the players now to impose ourselves on our opponents so enough of Schneiderlin and Gana together for me it doesn't work, Schneiderlin for me Gana on the bench.

Absolutely brilliant leap on the lad, very good feet, bright.

Could be a very good player this kid. Great temperament.

Ladies and Gentleman of Toffeetalk, I ask you a few simple questions - How many years has Goodison been built? about 150 ish years correct? So could someone please tell me how Everton sold me three tickets for seats that don't exist and have never existed in the whole fucking history of the stadium?

Seriously! Never order TB4 Row A, B and C Seat 213. The seat doesn't exist!!!! couldn't believe it. After standing about in the fire exits for 10 minutes, one of the stewards got me, my brother and mate 3 seats down in the paddock. So a trip around the stadium ensued. If any of you saw three lads being escorted through the away supporters then one of them was me!

As for the game, it was shite, Sandro changed the game, Morgan and Gana was outstanding. Rooney seemed to let the occasion get to him and didn't have a great game.

Then I got stuck in the car park at Analfield for a good 45 minutes. All in all, wasn't the best Everton match I've ever been to!

Agreed haf, it seems there is a mob at the ready ever since he signed. The new boo boy it seems

I said prior and when he signed I was happy to have him as cover which he still may be but I don't fancy him starting for us against players that are far superior to those last night

I'm far from hounding the lad this early and I'll back him but I think you can see with some players fairly quickly that they will probably struggle and for me he's one of them

Agree on DCL though the lad has great attributes but is wasted on the outside imo

His pace and energy would be much more useful coming off the bench and playing centrally when we need a lift

We lacked a bit of speed in our play and if we get Sigurdsson with his quick thinking and direct passing I think the likes of Sandro Rooney Klaassen and DCL will thrive from it tbh he really could be the missing piece of the jigsaw

I actually thought last night showed that Sig really isn't the right player to be making a move for .

We had several new players in the team, and it was only our 4th game of what is still a pre-season. Our opponents have already started their season, and it showed. They were sharper for the first 60 minutes, their plan was to press, press, press and hit us on the counter.

I though we looked ok for the most part, a bit slow till Sandro came on. but passing was good, movement was ok and we created a couple of half chances. After Sandro came on we kicked on, as we had a focal point. Our passing and moving was slicker and we created a few clean cut chances.

I though Calvin-Lewin played well, his control is something else, he took people on and beat them and created chances, Klassen is going to be a quality player for us as is Sandro. Kane was very cool and played well. Coco on the other hand can whip in a good cross nut he can't defend.

The sideways/backwards stuff was irking me - which harkens back to the Martinez era somewhat. I always say to myself - would they be pussyfooting with these passes if there were 5 minutes left in stoppage time in a level final or semifinal? I hope to see more incisive passing/running and more direct play next week. Having said that I'll take the bloody WIN.

When Mirallas was taking corners and freekicks I thought the exact opposite!

They don't relate to anything that Paul sad though. He's talking about from open play where Sig really isn't going to help in the way we'd need him to.

And in all honesty, being happy to spend £50m on a free-kick and corner taker is a bit barmy.

Ha I get why but my reasoning is that we have lads now that are quick intelligent movers and we don't really have anyone behind them with that true footballing brain to pre-empt such runs and so on so I think he'd be perfect for it

I don't think he does though. I keep saying it but people look at his assists stats like he's a creative superstar but he's not - most of those assists will have come from set-pieces and we're crying out for creativity from open play (just look at last night).

Don't get me wrong, I really like Sigurdsson as a player and I would like him here, but £50m for a player that can take a mean set-piece (again though, he won't take nearly as many for us) and covers a lot of ground is madness. We'd still need to bring in another imo.

We didn't get out of Vernon Sangster until gone 11.00, never known it so bad. Didn't even bother getting in the car for half an hour because nobody was going anywhere, wonder why.
