Aidan
An improvement is better than nothing, but we haven't improved enough. Should have gone for it from the start (which I was expecting unsworth to do) but we were too cagy. We don't need to go into games trying to steady things, that's what Koeman has been doing for months, we need to go out and press and try to force errors, we're too broken mentally defensively to try otherwise. This Chelsea team today were on paper beatable and easily susceptible. The second half doesn't make up from the first half. Still not good enough. Shukes
Beni. what a composed performance on his debut. Quick feet, good control and seemed to dictate the middle. excellent debut.
Matt
Davies, but could've given it to quite a few, including Kenny, Kev and Beni. Rooney needs dropping and playing with the u23 to find his fitness and how to control then pass a ball before he starts again
Romey 1878
Beni. Thought Davies did a good impression of a headless chicken and then got destroyed for their second goal myself. chicagoblue

Not sure how he was supposed to mark 2 players for their second

He wasn’t supposed to mark 2 because we had another Everton player there with him, he was supposed to go with Willian.

MikeO
Beni; he was barely mentioned in commentary but I suspect that's because the guy was unsure how to pronounce his name. Potentially great future and inspired move from Unsy to give him the chance. Romey 1878
markjazzbassist
Beni, Daz and Diamond on the radio feed gave it to him, said he didn't do anything wrong all night.

I still maintain his best game for us came against Leicester at Goodison last season and he’s not got anywhere near that level since. That was the game that convinced me he could be a quality player. Newty82
Beni. Stepped up really well. Some brilliant tackles from the lad and despite being quite slight in build, he'd hard to knock off the ball. Davies 2nd former...just for the energy that he put in. Many opinions I guess, but he was one of our better players. A bit too keen early on but once he calmed down he was very good, especially second half. Lots of pressing and tackling, some good passes and lots of energy to get forward. The more he plays the better he gets. My MOTM. But mentions to Beni, Jon Jo, McCarhy and Jags. Bailey
I think all 3 CMs could have got it but I went with Davies. He is the life of our team. He is the one chasing get lost causes, starting the press and getting his head up to pick a pass.
Cornish Steve
McCarthy is like Barry - very underrated, but you really know it when he's out. Only 60 minutes, but delighted to see him back. Sorry to let my bias dictate my vote on this one.
Sibdane
Going to go with Davies. He ALWAYS puts in a shift. Beni did well in his first senior start also.
smeghead1
Benni for me that lad can tackle, altho I think he was helped by the return of McCarthey, he adds a bit of grit to out midfield the sooner he's up to full match fitness the better.
