Popular Post Btay
Wasn’t a bad performance but city were no where near their best. Moment of brilliance broke the plan. Onto the next one, need DCL & Garner to be fit dunlopp9987, Wall Writer, Fosse Captain and 2 others
badaids
What’s all this back patting about?
Fosse Captain
They are better than us but I thought we played quite well overall. If DCL is ok, and we play like we did today, we have an excellent chance to gets points in the last 2 games badaids

Newty82
Nothing to be overly disheartened about there. They're just better than us all over the pitch. Didn't deserve to be 3nil. Wish we didn't have to be chatting like this. Bowing down to these teams. That's our reality for a good few years to come.
RPG
Decent performance but City's class told. No shame in either the result or the performance. I just wonder if we might have stumbled on a system. I know we hate a back 3 but given our injuries, a 3-1-5-1 line up: Pickford Mina Tarkowski Coady Gueye Patterson Iwobi Garner/Onana Doucoure McNeil DCL Just a shame our next game is v Wolves and I think Coady will not be able to play. Acknowledging that we were beaten by the better team, but played well enough to keep the confidence going into the games against Wolves and Bournemouth. We didn’t fold and throw the towel in we did very much the opposite second half. No patting on the back here just belief that that performance should see us get points from both of the remaining games. Bailey
Not really much to say about this game. Draw a line under it and focus on the two games left to save our season.

Smart move. Game was lost and he knows we will need him for for the matches we have a chance of gaining points from. Like he said, he thinks he brought him off before injury due to his recent history. I’m hoping that’s true and we see him start against Wolves. It seems to me like if there was tightness then dom was happy to go out but dyche said no. For me he’s fine for next week. Simple as that. Popular Post Romey 1878
I'm far from disheartened by today's game, quite the opposite if I'm honest. Until they scored the first goal we looked the more likely side to score. I thought we pressed really well and won the ball back in some dangerous areas, if we'd used the ball better and made some better decisions we could have been ahead. In fact, just before they scored we had an amazing chance that Holgate (I think) ballooned over the bar. Then we were undone with a moment of brilliance, we switch off after that and concede the second goal and that's all she wrote. It knocked the stuffing out of us for the rest of the half and before we know it Holgate has a brain fart at the start of the second half and heads the ball into the centre of the pitch and they race towards goal and Garner is forced to take their man out resulting in the free-kick that they scored from to kill the game off. Then they just controlled the game until the end. I don't like to say any game is a free hit because the aim should be to get something from all of them, but if ever it was apt it would be today. City are just on another fucking planet to us. A loss was always the most likely result. I stayed right until the end of the game so I could applaud our players off because I appreciated the effort they'd put in today. On to the next one. duncanmckenzieismagic, Palfy, Gwlad all over and 5 others 7

Agree with all of that, which is why I also stayed until the end and applauded the players off the pitch. There was definitely no lack of effort today, just a gulf in class dunlopp9987, Isaiah and Romey 1878
Zoo 2.0
Applauding a 0-3 loss at home is exactly the piss poor standards that have allowed us to get into this mess. I'm not suggesting that the players should have been booed off, but the party atmosphere at the end was bizarre for me. It wasn't that long ago that we had a decent record against City, yet now there's a total gulf in class and we're being twatted with them in first gear. Up until the first goal we played well, but to concede so quickly after the first (regardless of opposition) was piss poor. Sunday League defending brings the lad down for Gundogan's free-kick and from the third goal we were just chasing shadows.
Cornish Steve
We played the best team in the world when they included most of their best players in order to secure the league, but I thought we did as well as any team could expect in that situation. I hate to be cheering for the Reds, but it would be nice to see Leicester lose tomorrow. Then it's keeping ahead of them for the final two games. You’ve missed the point completely, we stayed and applauded them off the pitch as a sign of encouragement for the next two games, it’s similar to greeting the team coaches before a game. Wiggytop
The result wasn’t a surprise to anyone, two teams of very different qualities and ability. What I found horrible to experience was the difference in the crowd between the two halves, we cheered all the way through the first ( rightly so we gave a good showing apart from 3 minutes ), then seeing Maupay come on for DCL just seemed to kill any optimism we had in the ground and we were silent. If Simms had come on instead it would have been different, a mistake I believe by Dyche. Im still optimistic we can get enough points from the next two games having seem our last 3 performances.
