Romey 1878
Everton have lost their past three Premier League home games against Aston Villa, as many as in their previous 19 (W7 D9). Since their return to the Premier League in 2019, Villa are unbeaten in their nine league games against Everton (W7 D2), keeping six clean sheets and winning the past five in a row. The Toffees have lost their past three league matches. They haven’t lost four in a row since March 2022 under Frank Lampard. Only Sheffield United (seven) have conceded more Premier League goals from corners than Everton's six this season. The Toffees have conceded from a corner in their past three league games, as many as in their previous 39 combined. Douglas Luiz's winning penalty against Burnley was the seventh Premier League goal Villa have scored in the 89th minute or later this season - the joint most of any side along with Liverpool. Unai Emery is averaging 2.02 points per game in the Premier League with Aston Villa (91 points in 45 games), making him the only manager in Premier League history to manage 40-plus games with a club, average two or more points per game, and not win a title. Matt
I guess we're keeping hold of Danjuma then? Hope he makes a case for himself
badaids
Thank god Doucs is back. One thing I've noticed about the training under Dyche is that it much more varied, loads of variants on mini games, drills, competition and micro goals. The players always look interested and look like they're enjoying it. Matt

Hope he makes a case for himself I agree, got a start in the last game against Palace so starting a second consecutive game. So if you want to give the manager a selection headache then this is the game for him to show his capabilities. Villa are playing very well this season, so this is going to be tough afternoon out of possession. He will need to show what he can do when we don't have the ball as much as with the ball. He's been hear long enough to know exately what Dyche expects from him. Needs a performance. Matt

badaids
It’s a lively start from both sides. Danjuma is making a nuisance of himself but looks bereft of confidence in the box.
