I mean, WHAT?! That is unreal. I was going on a rugby tour to Canada in 2005, I shaved EVO8 (my nickname and number) into the side of my head (medium on top, shortish on the side). A little under a week before we went, I was told to get rid of the "writing" by school or face disciplinary proceedings. So I had no choice but to shave it off (until the writing was no longer visible). Only to turn up the following day and be on the end of even greater school disciplinary proceedings for my (also) "extreme" new hairstyle. I was threatened with my tour being cancelled (parents would have lost upward of £1200) all because I followed advice of the school and shaved the name out. Headteacher (honestly) locked me in his room/office and left me in there until my parents turned up (he left the room, so I was on my own before anyone makes any risky comments). Apparently, people with shaved heads are all maniac thugs and should be "locked up". "Children with extreme hair styles, cause extreme issues" I was told.
