Ross Barkley

Recommended Posts

Tottenham are reportedly pushing to secure the signing of Ross Barkley before they depart for their pre-season tour this week, but there's still a gap to be bridged.

Spurs saw Kyle Walker depart for Manchester City this week with his sizeable fee likely to be added to the transfer coffers this summer with the club yet to make a major signing.

According to The Mirror, they seemingly want Barkley to be their key addition, but they're nowhere near the £50m valuation set by the Toffees.

I would risk loosing him for free, but trying to convince him to stay. There are 12 months still, plenty of time to change his mind. The lad has a place in the team.

No chance- why should he get a place in the side over a player who has comitted to the club and wants to be part of it. If he refuses to sign then he should be sold, if no one wants him he should be put in the rezzies for me.

Shouldn't even get to play for reserves. He'd take up a spot that someone who wants to play for Everton could have. World Cup year so give him the ultimate punishment of not playing any football at all, and take away all chance of him playing at that World Cup.

To harsh, we don't know whats going on, we don't know what the contract offer is.

Even if Barkley wants to leave for whatever reason to destroy the boy makes no sense and is not right.

Either he signs or he leaves. If he stays and does not sign and does not play then his value will plummet and everyone loses.

This is the problem though.

As soon as the window closes, and he has less than a year left on his contract, his value plummets anyway.

If he does not sign and he still gets played, and plays a worldie most weeks...his value still plummets. To the club anyway. To himself and his agent, his value increases with every passing month £££ wise.

Better idea, Either he signs a contract or we loan him to the Russian league or the Indonesian League with us paying his wages.

True but if he stays and does not play at all his value will be even less in the winter transfer window.
