Ross Barkley

Problem is that most fans want either a goal or an assist..... nothing else matters on a pitch.

Last season ross didn't set the world on fire, but still had a good season. Yet we want to let him go.

Read a few Spurs forums and found that most of them believe he is at the wrong club and that if he goes there, he will become one of the best in the prem.

Top 5 in the prem for key passes (84, you have to ask why he only got 8 assists out of that), once his pre frontal cortex is fully developed he's going to the next level.

People have been saying that same line for 4 years now. Once he's grown up a bit he will be a worldie. Well he's had 4 years and hasn't gotten better than he was under Martinez. He hasn't grown. He's the same. Which leads me to believe this is his level.

I don't think anyone necessarily wants to see him go. I think he's the one that wants to go.

I'd love for him to stay here, but he's out of his mind if he thinks he's worth more than Kane and Lloris. If he goes to Spurs then he'll need to learn to accept their wage structure.

It's all speculation at this point anyway. Who knows what's going behind the scenes besides those behind the scenes?

I'm also giving your pre-frontal cortex time :P

No one really wants Ross to go...there is a difference between 'not being arsed, we move on' and 'want him to go'.

I'm in the category of 'if he stays, nice, if he goes, so....'.

The problem is the longer it goes on, the worse it looks for him.

If, big if, he is demanding excess amounts from Spurs, then he's being advised wrong.

Also, how much do Spurs really rate or want him? The previous stories claim they value him closer to £15 mill because he has a year left on his contract. £15 mill? So he's only rated as a squad filler anyway?

The lad can't even get into the England team anymore. From our view, that damages his value. From his view, it damages his value too.

Just sort it out! Please!

This is true.... there are four players better than him according to stats aren't there?

If he's only fifth in key passes.... then that's not good enough for us.

He created more chances than other U23 player in Europes top 5 leagues. That is good enough for us!

I think 1 of two things has happend:

1) With his alleged demand to Spurs I am more convinced that he is playing hardball with Everton, this is what I want, this is what I told Spurs I want, now match it Everton. Whether its him or his adviser I don't know.

2) He has had a major fall out with Koeman, just doesn't get on with him or cant get the assurances about game time he needs.

My gut feeling is that he does not want to leave, his family and friends are here, he is a Everton Fan. This is just hardball negotiating.
