I don’t see that being a problem for starters we can’t spend much so give Benitez 5 million and he’ll bring 2 or 3 in, I have a feeling he will be concentrating on how many he can sell to give him more to play with next summer. Personally I think Benitez needs to spend more time working with the squad on the training ground, not messing around with contracts and negotiating the ins and outs. Well all the players have been praising the work he does on the training ground, look at Moyes proof you don’t need a DoF never had one here and doesn’t have one at WHU. He won’t be messing about with the ins and outs, he will do the deal and leave the paper work to the Directors. If I was a manager of a football team I would want all things football to be my responsibility and mine alone, no grey area’s or excuses I would live and die by how the team performed knowing all decisions were down to me and me alone. Can anyone see the problem here? Not with what you're saying Palf, but with the obvious shit house situation we find ourselves in? We need rid of all those players. We'll not get much for them that can be sold. Yet our squad is already threadbare and we can't spend any money? It's scary the money we've spent and how little we've recouped. It's an absolute farcial situation. The club behind the scenes is an absolute mess. Blame the managers, the DoF's...whoever. When it comes to big decisions and clear direction, the board are fucking it up big time. Someone somewhere in those corridors is having an absolute mare. And, to be honest, I don't think it's one person as such but more a case of failing to align on the correct strategy - which ultimately needs a lot more patience from them and us as fans. Grateful as can be for the efforts, business income and leap forward in the stadium by Moshiri but some big lessons need to be learnt by him and by others behind the scenes. I just feel like behind the scenes is just like on the pitch - too soft and no real balls. All 'jobs for the boys' kind of stuff and a bunch of obedient yes men on fat salaries.
