That is an industry that makes gambling companies look like the Red Cross. That, plus the allegations of fraud and racketeering and the insinuation that they are trying to finance their takeover, makes me hope this deal falls apart too. isn't the Taliban interested in a little sports washing? London Blue
The sad The truth is if Bill was willing to sell his shares and just be a figure head then we would probably attract a much better buyer. But because of his intransigent nature we are stuck with a load of dodgy wide boys who will just fuck us over for a quick buck.

I'm sure once the sale is completed we will get a statement from 777 saying that Bill will be staying on to assist with his vast knowledge and experience of Everton football club. It's like having your granddad living with you, selling the house the he says behind in the basement popping up to pass on his advise to the new owners every now and then. Zoo 2.0
Absolutely nothing to be happy about, some soft twats were ringing up TalkSport earlier thanking Moshiri for all that he's done for us. Hope he never sets foot in the North West again but considering he's not been to Goodison in about three decades shouldn't be too difficult. Feels like Groundhog Day when talking about these owners, but in a nutshell it's just one parasite selling to another. Of course the biggest problem of them all will somehow still cling on to his grip on the club, no doubt in my mind that he'll have his fingers in all of the 777 pies. Newty82
Fuck sake. Mind, no surprise. Did anyone ever believe that, after all the decisions in these last 7 or so years, we'd be sold with the best interests of the club in mind? It's sad that we're now dragged into this model of ownership but maybe I/we are behind the times. I'd never begrudge people making profit. So long as there is a benefit all round. In this case, if the club is stabilised, becomes commercially sound and competitive on the pitch, then feel free to take a profit. We'll see what happens. But I'm feeling very sceptical. Shukes
isn't our current ownership hated so much that any sale should be a good sale? They have a good few clubs under their belt that were about to collapse and are not a lot more stable. But I don’t know enough about them to make a proper judgement. A lot of what I read seems inflated to be honest. The whole arrest for drugs for example. It was t as much as Barkley or Bilic used to snort at cream! And a few late payments? …. Damn I’m going to hell! StevO, Wall Writer, barryj and 1 other 2
StevO
I will judge them on how they perform. I don’t see any benefit in being upset just yet. They need to bring some early positive action and also remove some negatives from the club (Bill). If they are to do worse than the current regime they will have to actively sabotage things. Trying to be optimistic that it can and hopefully will get better. In terms of these ownership groups, they are ok if you are the top of the pyramid. Which we should be. Wall Writer
When you see them writing drug trafficking in the media and then find out it was basically an ounce of coke for him and his mates, it’s does seem a little exaggerated. Not that I’m trying to justify it but if we see him walking out of Wembley after we’ve snatched an injury time winner in the semifinal, wide-eyed and gurning, shouting “I want Mourinho! Everton aren’t we!”, then maybe he’s the man for the job. Anyway, on a serious note, I think there’s been a lot of bad press and I’m not sure how justified that is. I’ll be watching this space and trying to find out a bit more about them in the coming days no doubt. But at the same time, I kind of agree with what Moshiri said in his release. Times have changed. Premier League football clubs and they their ownership models are not what they used to be. We kind of have to accept that. At the end of the day, it what happens in the pitch that matters and ultimately they’ll be judged on that. They could take billions out of the club, but if we’re winning trophies not many are gonna complain. StevO
