Kieran Dowell

The lad has ability but I dont see what position he would play. He can only really play as a 10 in the premier league and that isnt a position we need at the moment as I would have at least Siggy, Davies and Gomes in ahead of him given how we use that position.

According to TransferMarkt his contract ends in the summer. Just let him move on, he isn’t going to be an Everton player.

We should have cashed in a year ago (or longer ago tbh). It was blatantly obvious he wasn't going to make it here. Throw a sell-on % in or a buy back just in case. We go about this all wrong with the ones who don't look good enough.

I agree, he was never going to be good enough. I’d rather we help these lads get a career in football than make a few quid, but if we can get both then great.

I don’t see how a slow dowell plays in a high tempo high pressing Norwich side.  But glad to be rid and hopefully we got a fee

I wouldn’t necessarily call Norwich high tempo or high pressing. The full-backs ‘bomb on‘ providing overlaps when their wingers come inside but I’d say they are a much more possession based side and Dowell is someone who is good with the ball at his feet in space so isn’t overly reliant on pace - his vision will be an asset if there are pacy/smart runners around him.

farke is a poor man's klopp, sure they didn't have the ability to do it this year due to the prem being higher quality, but that's how they got promoted.  i don't really care because he's gone, more just musing to myself while he's on the way out the door.
