markjazzbassist Posted December 2, 2015 Author Report Posted December 2, 2015 That's going out on a limb a bit, sure most of us will want Man City FPLC. i mean i guess at this point i'll take anyone, it's 2 legs and it's right after the busy holiday season so City could phone it in if CL and Prem are more important. Injuries could mount for a side too. With a cup you gotta beat the bigs eventually. Quote

Not necessarily; in 1984 we beat Stoke, Gillingham, Shrewsbury, Notts County, Southampton and Watford to win the FA Cup . markjazzbassist 1 Quote

markjazzbassist Posted December 2, 2015 Author Report Posted December 2, 2015 We have Man City, Stoke have Shit. Quote
markjazzbassist Posted December 2, 2015 Author Report Posted December 2, 2015 Let's hope RM figures out a way to beat them like he did in the FA cup finals. Quote
MikeO Posted December 2, 2015 Report Posted December 2, 2015 Damn, ah well rather them than Liverpool. We'll lose. Quote
Btay Posted December 2, 2015 Report Posted December 2, 2015 We play at home first as well don't we? Quote
MikeO Posted December 2, 2015 Report Posted December 2, 2015 We play at home first as well don't we? Yup. Quote
markjazzbassist Posted December 2, 2015 Author Report Posted December 2, 2015 i'm not down and out yet, aguero is always injured and their CB are awful this year with Kompany out all the time too. we have a chance, i hope RM put's his tactics cap on so we can take it to them. Quote
Romey 1878 Posted December 2, 2015 Report Posted December 2, 2015 Not got much hope for this one but I'll be there for the home leg cheering our boys on. Quote
MC11 Posted December 2, 2015 Report Posted December 2, 2015 Tough draw especially being away second leg...all tough games though. Quote
Elston Gunnn Posted December 2, 2015 Report Posted December 2, 2015 We're going to see Man City a whole lot in January. T/W Jan 5/6 - home W Jan 13 - away T/W Jan 26/27 - away Two wins and a draw. Mirallas goes wild. One way or another. If he's still a Toffee. Piece of cake. Bob's your uncle. Quote
MikeO Posted December 2, 2015 Report Posted December 2, 2015 We're in a cup semi-final though; that's not happened too often recently. Got to be positive and enjoy the feeling (my "we'll lose" comment above is just psychology), we're within touching distance of a game at Wembley against Stoke, supporting your club is supposed to be fun! And we've got a better record against the PLC than we have against the other half. Quietly confident; but we're bound to lose. Contradiction intended. markjazzbassist 1 Quote
rubecula Posted December 2, 2015 Report Posted December 2, 2015 4 teams and to win the cup we need to beat two of the other three. Piece of cake. Quote
barryj Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 Lets do it the hard (& most satisfying) way by knocking City out in style and then winning with a hugely controversial penalty in added time against the shite to lift the trophy. ? Quote
Finn balor Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 I expected to get city. Let's face it we are Everton. I'd rather play them in the final but they are not unbeatable. Get a win at our place and we are capable of a drawer at least at theirs. Media are having a wank fest over the shite and what they're gonna do this year. Let us make a statement for once markjazzbassist 1 Quote
badaids Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 Will Man City play a full strength team? I know they hav a string squad, but I fancy us over 2 legs. Quote
milesey05 Posted December 4, 2015 Report Posted December 4, 2015 (edited) Looking at the fixtures in January City can play a full strength team against us. In both games before the CIty fixtures we have home fixtures against Spurs and Swansea on the Sunday's. City play on Saturdays so I hope that old extra days rest isn't used as an excuse. Our other 2 games in between the cup ties are City away and Chelsea away. Some decent signings are needed in January as our fringe players don't make the grade anymore. # plus F.a cup 3rd round game. MC11 Posted December 4, 2015 Report Posted December 4, 2015 Squads the best it's ever been in my opinion Quote
Matt Posted December 4, 2015 Report Posted December 4, 2015 (edited) Squads the best it's ever been in my opinion Ours I assume? I agree, but whether Roberto will utilize it all, I don't know... Edited December 4, 2015 by Matt markjazzbassist and Elston Gunnn 2 Quote
AlbanyNYToffee Posted December 4, 2015 Report Posted December 4, 2015 Much rather face City in the semis than the final. Likewise much rather face the shite in the final than the semis. Sure stoke would have nice but i like the city draw. Quote
Elston Gunnn Posted December 4, 2015 Report Posted December 4, 2015 Some decent signings are needed in January as our fringe players don't make the grade anymore. Serious issue, so serious question. I'd be interested in your and others' opinions about which of the following do and which don't make the grade. Can we stipulate that making the grade means occasional starts and regular 20-30 minute appearances as subs? Mirallas, Lennon, Cleverley, Naismith, Gibson, Besic, Browning, Osman, Oviedo, Pienaar, Hibbert, Howard, Robles. Quote
