Sibdane
Not much to choose from but have to go with Lukaku too. Or maybe Gerry for his "assist." All were pretty much on the same plane though.
Shukes
Stones by a mile.Administration, delete anyone who votes otherwise. The lad was immense.Best performance I have saw from him, excellent.

Newty82
Stones. Looked great in that 2nd half...clearing the ball properly, pushing up, bringing the ball out. That's him at his best...but really needs someone to help him with some of his defensive game.
BedfordBlue
Lukaku, done everything but score. Really he's a striker and missed a hatful .
markjazzbassist
Gerry changed the pace and got the goal. Was trying to link up and gave us the attack we needed. He should start more often. scouse
Sibdane
Actually Stones is a good shout too, besides the first goal. I honestly hate matches like this because the skills from the players aren't there, so I'm left to focus on work rate. Pathetic really. pete0
Really he's a striker and missed a hatful . He gave United a headache today. Bossed their defense, but didn't get the luck of the bounce and de Gea was outstanding.
johnh
Stones had a better game but Robles kept us in it early on. Could have been 2 or 3 down at half-time. Robles for me.

Pete0 pete0 come on. He worked harder than usual but didn't do his job. How can he possibly be MoM? It was like putting g a good midfielder up front...can work hard and hold the ball, but can't finish. He played well though.

Matt
Lukaku, done everything but score. You winding Haf up?! I guess Joel, Stones or Jags. I'll go with Joel because we'd have been screwed without his stops in the first half. He had no chance with either goal and that blame lands on the CBs rubecula and nyblue23

Rom, Joel, then Stones would be my order for motm. I thought Gibson played very well, but was a little slow getting back into position making him struggle defensively otherwise he'd be in contention. Newty82
Maybe Stones really should be a DCM. That's what I was thinking when watching him. Looks so natural bringing the ball out and continuing his run. His marking leaves a lot to be desired at the moment though.

Elston Gunnn
I keep describing Stones as an "elegant" player. Maybe I copied that from someone else, but it's seems apt. But I also see a very flawed defender, too often out of position, ball watching, unwilling or unable to nudge strikers just enough to throw them off, unaware of opponents moving into his space and past him. So his "elegance" must refer to his forward movement, deft dribbling touch, good pick-passing once past midfield. I suppose it's more likely that in a couple of years he'll have learned how to be a better defender. But putting him at DCM for some matches is worth a look. milesey05
Gibson???? I must have been watching another game. Stones for me. Was bringing the ball out and setting up attacks and mostly defended well. So really doing stuff that Gibson was supposed to be doing. EFC-Paul
Joel for making a few decent saves in the first half, each to their own but Lukaku? He was absolutely dogshit he put himself about that's it If Naisse had been playing and missed those chances and touched the ball like it was a grenade he'd be hung out to dry on here Edited April 23, 2016 by EFC-Paul
Shukes
Those questioning Stones defending missed his countless last ditch tackles and blocks.Really, today he was good. Yes his one mistake led to a goal, but he's a kid.He will learn, and today he stood up.Loved his performance today.
