Newty82
How many offers can you fit in a hood then? Haha. Loads n loads.
thinker
If Simone moves it will be to an established CL team. He'll have a hood amount of offers. Unless he does a Klopp, he's never leaving. Would love Emery here if he's available. Saw tweets that we spoke to his agents. Not sure if its true. Paddock
Absolutely no way Simeone will come to us, it's just not happening. It's a bigger pipe dream than Mourinho. More chance of me getting the job than him coming to Everton.

Matt
Getting bored with this now. I know, I know... We need to be patient and appoint the right person, but it's getting boring
StevO
I think Koeman has long gone. If he was interested in sure it would have been done by now. If we wanted Moyes I think it would have been done weeks ago too. Still hopeful we'll get someone exciting in soon.
Hafnia
My order in preference 1. Emery 2. De Boer 3. Koeman 4. Pelligrini 5. Mike Walker 6. Robbie Savage 7. Jimmy bullard 8. David Moyes 9. Martin O'Neil Edited May 27, 2016 by Hafnia
Paddock
Emery De Boer Pellegrini In that order for me. If it's going to be none of them I'm at an absolute loss as to who it will be. I've not listed Koeman because I think there is zero chance of him coming.

BristolToffee
6 years ago Frank De Boer had no club management experience, won titles in his first four seasons and is now favourite to manage us. The Echo today has asked 'why not Unsworth?' This is based on having Overmars as technical director to support him. Given the crazy last season where Mourinho couldn't buy a win and Leicester went from relegation certainties to champions, is there logic in the argument?
StevO
I think there is an argument for Unsworth. The question is how quickly does Moshiri want us to progress for me. You could go with Unsworth and back him for four years to improve the team without the pull of a big name manager to work with. You could bring in a big name and hope he can attract players and raise the profile of the club a lot quicker. I'd like to see Unsworth carry on with the U21s or become part of the first team staff. I'd love him to be a future Everton manager.

EFC-Paul
Me neither not yet anyway he's doing a great job at youth level and I'm never a fan of throwing ex players in at the deep end purely on sentiment

Paddock
If Unsworth gets it I'll be fucking furious. We're supposed to be moving forward and raising our profile not hiring a complete nobody in the managerial world. I don't mean that disrespectfully, I like Unsworth he's one of us but not as our manager.

MC11
if he's not on the pitch, why does it matter? The sport he's in and the age he's at he shouldn't be carrying that weight. Yes he was a big lad when he was playing but it just doesn't go down well with me. Get the weight off look more presentable then maybe he'll be taken seriously

BristolToffee
I'm not against Unsworth, but can't see him getting the job. Whoever they want must currently be in a job, otherwise I don't think it would have dragged on this long. That said, who they want and who they get is a completely different matter. I'm not keen on any of those currently out of work.

Get the weight off look more presentable then maybe he'll be taken seriously He'll be taken seriously if he wins football matches, I know let's not have an old manager who's had a new hip, not a good image if he limps. What about a really short guy! what if opponents take the piss out of him that could hurt our feelings. Why don't we get a fit bloke in, smart, good with the press, nice brown shoes, but can't buy a fucking win, unless we get lucky. Unsworth was massive as a lad, think I remember a team photo wher he was sitting next to Barlow, his legs were 4 times bigger. Big man, big heart maybe........maybe 'big' respect from the players, we don't know do we.But why write him off because he's a big unit. More than likely won't get the job anyway.Let's hope the new manager keeps him at the club, he could do us a lot of good. chicagoblue

JoeQuince
What the fuck does it matter what a manager looks like? The guy's job is to set up a team and win matches, not get out there and bag goals himself. He could have purple skin and tits the size of watermelons for all I care. Why is Unsworth's weight a bigger issue than Pellegrini's feathered 70s porn hair?

The point I'm trying to make is that that isn't a point worth making. His appearance is irrelevant for the job. We're talking about a manager not an underwear model. Is this just a bias you have in your everyday life against people who struggle with weight issues?

The guy is massively overweight. Not slightly.... Massively. He's 42 in a coaching role in sports. What the hells going on? Sub consciously these things matter. Same with any type of employment. If your face fits you usually get on in life. Whether your thick as pig shit or not.
