Bailey
Defensively solid so far bar Mori getting out muscled once, and we look lively going forward with all three attackers able to run at them. Arguably could be 2 up, and a few of their players on a yellow and the game put to bed. Baines the only player below par, looks like he's struggling to grasp what position to be in. Baines looks back to his best IMO. chicagoblue
JoeQuince
Holgate excellent. Jags excellent. Funes Mori excellent. Gueye looking like a gem. Geri is being a handful. Mirallas is working his dick off. McCarthy is playing hard but looking like a candidate for a red card. Barkley is doing well enough, and I'm happy to see him putting in more of a shift than usual. Barry is being Barry (that's a good thing). Baines is working hard, and it's a matter of time before something he does clicks. Stekelenberg could've taken a nap. markjazzbassist
Looks to be a 343 or 523 kinda shape.
Btay
Id get Tarashaj on. His link up play will be effective towards the end of this game.
Steve_E
Good defensive shape and the quality on the ball was there as well in the beginning with Barkley's excellent free kick, an excellent cross from Baines for Barkley, etc. Hope the 70% fit thing was meant to motivate the players, cause they'll need to keep on running in that second half, especially if Spurs throw on another striker. Steve_E
Id get Tarashaj on. His link up play will be effective towards the end of this game. Not on the bench.
JoeQuince
Tactically, I love the move that has Mori backing up Baines against Walker's pace. Walker has to push it around Baines, who will dog him all the way down, and then Mori is there to step up and mop it up.

Isaiah
Id get Tarashaj on. His link up play will be effective towards the end of this game. He was injured in pre-season.
johnh
Checked on BBC text. Just after we scored it posted that Funes Mori had conceded a penalty. Then this post disappeared and the game went on. Don't know what that was all about but it peed me off for a minute or so.
markjazzbassist
Lennon and Davies the only real options from bench for me. Davies for McCarthy would be my first change and Lennon for whichever forward is gassed first.
Elston Gunnn
Wonderful to see every player working hard. Excellent half, with 2 minor exceptions. Funes Mori got away with bad defending on non-foul. And Barkley still trying to control ball among 2, sometimes 3, defenders.
Mogsy
Everton 1-0 Tottenham Kevin Kilbane Former Hull City, Everton and Sunderland winger on BBC Radio 5 live Posted at 16:57 I think the one thing that was glaringly obvious over the last couple of seasons at Everton was that they looked poor without the ball. Immediately you can tell the difference in the first half today as Everton returned to their shape quickly and hunted the ball. Good to hear
chicagoblue
Geri needs to learn how to get his weight behind the ball. Anyways leaning back and flicking it Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
MikeO
Our defensive shape is immense That must be down to Martinez, after all his first season's defensive performance was down to Moyes. Chach
markjazzbassist
We came out flat and that's what happens. Holgate beaten by lamela.
JoeQuince
We got lazy. They did well to split the defense. But we were lazy.
Bailey
Holgate just beaten in the air. I think they are starting to feel the pace as the intensity isn't as high now.

pete0
Baines looks back to his best IMO.I was just about to say that the only time i feel threatened of a goal is down his side. Keeps getting caught in between two minds. Pace tends to make up for it though.
