Lookman got one as well as did Henen (Niasse assist). Bowler really unlucky as well when a brilliant run and shot from the wing hit the inside of the far post and somehow stayed out, I was sure it was going in. Wish we'd played these yesterday. ? Are they still playing with aggression ano pressing high up the pitch like they did last season?

Bailey
These lads look class. The pace and energy throughout the team is great. They do lack a little but if quality in the final third but up to the edge of the box they are brilliant. Strikers sprinting to close down, the player losing the ball sprinting to win it back. I can't imagine Pompey are any good but they are barely out of their half.

Benni looked like a first team player against kids. He made the game look simple. He covers ground as well. Evans was a bright spark but I think he needs more competitive first team games to man him up a bit. Hornby was really good too, he has a bit of everything. I think he will do well on loan. It's crazy to think how good they were when we probably have another u23 eleven in the first team or on loan.

Shukes
Surprised we managed to hold on to that. I wat he’s the first 50 minutes and they battered us. Our players were playing ten yard passes to each at chest height. Defence was awful in the first half... really awful. It was like being in a derby with chances coming at you from everywhere. No idea how they didn’t score. We must have improved a lot in the last 40 mins.
