FFS Pickford

he’s had a hell of a match but that’s horrific

You serious? He made a couple of smart stops but has had his head up his arse all night.

his barracking of other players has been absolutely ridiculous. Just before his blunder he was marching out shouting his head off.  Tarkowski is livid with him.

Can’t knock the hard work but we create a lot of the ball and shadow chasing because of our own poor play, Garner and Gomes guilty of giving the ball away for too easily, we could hardly string 2 or 3 passes together before giving the ball away for long periods of the game. Beto worked hard great on him but his ability to hold onto the ball and bring others into the game wasn’t there. I admire hard work but on it’s own it’s meaningless if you don’t add some ability in possession of the ball, fortunately for us we have proven in other games we can add the ability required to get you over the line, so not to upset about tonight’s game we will bounce back and bring back more control and ability to our game to go with the hard work.

I don’t think we can be to hard on them. Pen and DCL miss are big moments. On another day we get a well earned point.
City are a team you have to stand back and say beaten by a better side. We are staying with teams like city and spurs and disappointed with the result that is a big difference to last season.

  • Across spells with Burnley and Everton, Sean Dyche has failed to win any of his 14 Premier League games against Pep Guardiola (D1 L13). Only Steve Bruce (P17 D4 L13 vs Alex Ferguson) has faced an opposing manager more often in the competition’s history without ever tasting victory.

  • Everton lost a Premier League game in which they went 1-0 up for the first time since January (a 1-2 loss vs Southampton), ending their 17-game unbeaten run when scoring first.

  • Manchester City have gone 1-0 down in seven Premier League games this season (doing so in four of their last five games), as many times as they did in the entirety of 2022-23. However, the Citizens have lost just two of their last 12 league games when trailing at half time (W7 D3).

  • No Everton player has been involved in more Premier League goals since Sean Dyche's arrival than Dwight McNeil (13 - 7 goals, 6 assists). He has five goal involvements in his last six league games (2 goals, 3 assists).

  • Six of Julian Alvarez’s last seven Premier League goals have put Manchester City one goal in the lead, with the other drawing them level against Wolves in September.

Wasn't expecting anything against either Spurs or City. The away win against Burnley was far more important than these two game.

Bit of a defensive howler for the the third - but to me that the best time to get one out of your system, in a game you have pretty much already lost.

grabbing a point or so againts City is not what will define our season.

So it’s Dyche’s fault again 😉
