To be clear im no fan of him. I don’t think he came to Everton for the money though, the man is a multi millionaire. I think he came to play football and his body has let him down, as it had for years before he came to us. I just hate to see a person (any person, not just footballers) have their character judged without any personal experience of the person. I’d hate someone to look at me doing my job from a distance and make assumptions about my attitude, my influence on others, my reasons for doing things I do. I just think it’s very unfair. Just people on performance and results, no problem, but the personal stuff just isn’t right to me.

Everyone seems to be forgetting that he almost achieved a Champions League spot in his first year, achieving considerably more with what you refer to as Moyes' team than Moyes himself did. In the end, we were in the Europa League for two successive seasons, beating some pretty good teams along the way.
Why did things go downhill? First off, he had no budget. Now you can argue that neither did Moyes, which is fair, but he was trying to build on two years in the Europa and took risks. Barry and McCarthy in midfield was genius, as was securing Lukaku when no-one expected it. Risking players from the Russian league was a disaster, though. And, as people point out, our defense leaked goals terribly. Belgium undoubtedly has an issue with this, too, so there must be a solution. Is that having Baines in charge of defence, for example?
I get the reluctance, but what Martinez achieved in that first year was immense. Personally, I'd say the decline in the second year was due to not having the depth of roster to meet the demands of both league and Europa (and domestic cup runs). To compensate in the final year, he took recruiting risks that failed. The one lingering issue has to be ability to defend.

We are going nowhere with that defence. Keane is dogshit awful. So dependent on confidence, he's as unreliable as Kenny and Holgate who are clearly not premier league quality. Put in there ageing Coleman as a left back and we are set for disaster.

I was going to wait until I'd cooled down to post in this thread but fuck it, I need to say this shit and I need to say it now.
I want this fucker gone and I want him gone now. He is going to take us down. I cannot believe there are still some of our fans that don't see how much trouble we're in.
Where is this tactically astute manager he supposedly is? Three at the back is not something we have the players for, so why the fuck go with it? You could have predicted disaster with that before a ball was fucking kicked. Then you play a sub-par right back as a fucking left wing back while you have an international quality left back sat on the fucking bench. I don't give a shiny shit if they've had a falling out, you fucking play him because that left us unbelievably unbalanced on the left due to having two players there who both wanted to cut back inside onto their right foot. He's a hypocritical knob head and is doing exactly the opposite of what he asked of Digne - to put the team first.
And then why not change things when it obviously wasn't working? He waited until 13 minutes from the bastard end of the game before he did anything. He should have made at least one change at half time. Nope! Then he should've made a change the instant we got one back. Nope! The only reason we'd managed to drag ourselves back into the game was because of the sheer power of will from Gordon and Gray, it wasn't because our master tactician had done a fucking thing.
Just for those that need a fucking comfort blanket for any criticism aimed at our esteemed conductor the majority of the players were atrocious too. The midfield two of Allan and Doucoure were fucking diabolical and offered no protection whatsoever for the defence, who then proceeded to wilt under the pressure.
All of them can fuck off and then fuck off some more until they have time to fuck off again.

Has to be Gray for me. Looked very dangerous.  A goal and virtually an assist for him today. That must be the most profitable signing we had in the past decade.

I feel like If we lose either of DCL or Richarlison we are getting relegated. These two and Douc are key figures we need to build around, not lose them.

It is possible for a player to take a wage cut at his new club and the selling club may agree to cover the difference for the reminder of his old contract.

DCL for Rondon and Richarlison for Iwobi we win this, we’ve done well to weather the storm without them till now but our luck ran out today, we need our finishers back Rondon and Iwobi aren’t the same as DCL and Richarlison when it comes to finding the back of the net.

Schneiderlin wasn't bad when we signed him. He was proper midfielder at Southampton and was very competent at United. Sigurdsson was a star player at Swansea. Klaassen was a leader at Ajax. Sure, none of them justify the price we paid, but still they looked like promising signings. Is it our luck, but most of our signings bar two or three since Moshiri came on board never worked out with us? It feels like a curse, really.

He's not. His fitness and commitment is nowhere near acceptable, hence why he missed out Copa America and now signed for Qatari club. This is not a great example of world class player, who is supposed to be on top of his game at the age of 30.

Don't judge him by the goals in Portuguese league. It's a three horse race with two more competing for the places behind them. The rest you can put in English 4th tier and It will be considerable challenge for them to come on top.

I'm not surprised, because he looks like this type of player - Unprofessional. There's a reason Colombian NT didn't called him for the Copa. There's a reason he didn't make it in bigger clubs. There's a reason his fitness is shit. There's a reason he doesn't know who Everton are playing against, and that's not because he's being excluded from training, but because of his lack of interest in the job he's being employed for.

Honestly, England would have lost to either Spain or Belgium also. Without home advantage, they would have lost to others, too. I know some will not like to hear this, but it's how I feel. They are not yet top-notch.
It's a comparatively young team, which does leave room for improvement. It takes time to climb to the top and stay there. This is what I'm hoping Everton will do: Build a solid young team and grow from there.

There are many reasons England didn’t win that game, but Italy are a damn good side. They conceded early and then slowly pulled the game back in their favour. They were the better team on the night and could have beaten us in 90 minutes. They were the best team in the tournament. I’m gutted we lost, but we lost to the best team out there.

This England team can grow. When any of these players turn up at Goodison next season I’ll be on my feet clapping them onto the pitch. I hope they can go one step further in Qatar.
