nutmegwolf203 reacted to Aidan in Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Me neither mate. In fact I think everyone in that squad is excited to see where this season will take them at Everton.

nutmegwolf203 reacted to London Blue in Man of the Match at Fleetwood
Mate he was fucking dog turd.
For the first he was trying to show off, a big flaw of his and he fucked it up.
For the second he looked like a 6 year old flapping at a wasp. He just was not expecting a Fleetwood player to try that, or the shot to be on target.

What an absolute gem this lad is!
He is there receiving a player of award, and ends up talking more about the club and key workers than himself. An absolute diamond of a man!
How does it feel Richie, to know that if you give us a few more seasons, you could we’ll end up becoming a legend here.
My 8 year old told me the other day... Daddy I think I know who your best player is... it’s Rodriguez isn’t it..... no son, it’s Richarlllllison!!!!!!!!

nutmegwolf203 reacted to DownUnderToff in Moise Kean
Think Richy looked every bit as surly today and against West Brom (while putting in great shifts).
To me it seems to be representative of players that aren't satisfied with performances (Kean) or outcome (Richy), not necessarily just "sulking". Even Gordon with him being desperate to score. Last week Kean knew he wasn't playing well and the penalty was a gift, from someone else's good work. Again tonight, he finished off a smart move from Digne and Nkounkou. It was a clean enough finish, but pretty much his only decent involvement.
With Carlo and the new arrivals, the pressure has ramped up and there's more of an attitude that near enough isn't good enough.

Amateur psychology is exactly the reason I come on TT.

He's a great shot stopper and in one on ones, but it seems to be instinct. Too much time to think - or rope - and he often balls it up.
The first goal tonight was just arrogance. 2 nil up, league 1 team, not much to do, he fancied a bit of pratting about. Should have just booted it and I bet if it had been a league game he would have.
It was the throwing his arms about like it was someone else's fault that pissed me off most. It was a risky pass back, but he had plenty of time to send it. He should have held his hand up an apologised.

I won’t be defending Pickford tonight 😂
But, four wins on the bounce, ten goals in two games.
Momentum!

IF there was a grain of truth in United's interest, why would he go from working with Carlo to OGS?

I don’t get the Spurs we’re poor. We made them look poor, they didn’t get a chance to show anything

nutmegwolf203 reacted to Btay in What are our Realistic Expectations for 2020/21?
No CB would want to play against him. Physically so strong yet rapid in behind as well. Needs to get a bit better with the ball at his feet but his improvement has been great! 20 goals is possible for him. Richarlison should have a few this year as well, good signs.

nutmegwolf203 reacted to Shukes in What are our Realistic Expectations for 2020/21?
I think you will find DCL is being used perfectly. He is a central point that needs to be defended and marked. This allows Richarlison to constantly get space to receive a pass out wide.... as perfectly illustrated several time’s against Spurs.
I would be happy if they both hit 15+, with other players chipping in. We can’t afford to play to get our striker the golden boot, we need to perform as a team, just like on Sunday.

Love how Carlo Ancelotti has the balls to wear a polo top and blazer, even more impressed that he pulls it off. What a bloke.

showing his qualities again today. good leadership and composure and a solid header for a goal. helped digne out as well.
-
nutmegwolf203 reacted to Wiggytop in Richarlison
I was most impressed by the fact that he didn’t let his head drop after the first miss, he kept going all game and didn’t hide, big signs of improvement IMO

nutmegwolf203 reacted to Matt in Michael Keane
Keane is very much underrated. He’s played through pain (emotional and physical) and still always been good. The midfield will get the best out of him

nutmegwolf203 reacted to Gwlad in Carlo Ancelotti
Loved his post match comment when asked if the new signings need time to settle in. He basically said that top players are capable of hitting the ground running.

I'm going to ask you all to indulge me a little bit here because I got very drunk watching this because it was so good, and then I carried on drinking until 4am and got even more drunk.
In the first 10-15 minutes of the game I'd developed a hard on that went nowhere the longer the game on. Why? Because I was watching us keep hold of the ball, move it around confidently and with purpose. The midfield looked unbelievably comfortable with the ball, like animals in their natural habitat doing what they do best. We got caught out a couple of times on the counter and Pickford was called upon to help out, but I honestly cannot remember the last time we looked that comfortable as a footballing side. The thought was there to crack one out as I watched but somehow I controlled myself (as well as Rodriguez with a football). And we could've been one up if not for Richarlison doing god knows what . That's when the old Everton nerves kicked in and I thought that's going to blow up in our faces. I quickly gave my head a wobble (not that head!) and remembered we have The Don and a functioning midfield now.
Second half we fucking owned that pitch. It was all ours and Spurs may as well have not even been there, we brutally took them apart and toyed with them. It looked effortless if I'm honest and we made them look less than average - fuck some of the media making the story be that Spurs were shite. We made them shite. The only small negative is that we only scored one goal - the performance warranted 3 or 4 - but that will come.
I'm not going to go over the top so all I'll end this by saying we're going to do the double over the shite and win the league.

IMO, when you haven't won anything for 25 years you don't get to pick and choose which cups are a waste of time.
Rotate of course, but the strongest possible side for me in every single round to ensure that we get through and have something to lift at the end of the season.
Winning breeds winning, it becomes a habit.

nutmegwolf203 reacted to barryj in Salford City (cup) Wednesday 16/9/20
Really!?!? We’ve won nothing in 25 years and this is a route to Europe if you see it as nothing else. However, I really want the team to win everything and anything. When we start to win the Premier League, FA cups and Champions League regularly then I may change my view but until then this is a competition I’m very keen to win. Add to that we’ve never won it makes it for me more appealing to complete the set as it were.

James is the type of player who will stop opponents commiting forward - previously we took so long getting an attack together that we allowed teams to regroup. He is so quick witted, he takes the opportunity to pick the holes and executes a pass perfectly.
Teams will be so cautious with him around.
