Quinn31 reacted to c1982 in Transfer Targets for 23-24
We need players with pace, strength, work rate and leadership - they obviously need to have the quality but we need to be realistic of where we are. Outgoings will be key - how do we get rid of Gomes, Gbamin, Alli, Maupay, Holgate and Keane? Probably £500k in wages every week there. Give me more McNeil/ Garner type signings - good age, probably not breaking the bank, resale and most importantly quality.

Like that girl with the coldsore you snogged after a bottled of White Lightning back in the day. 😂

Once Everton has touched you... you're a victim forever.

Quinn31 reacted to Romey 1878 in Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Maupay is not a central striker in any way, shape or form. He's a supporting striker who works off and with a main striker.
I don't think Simms would have had any joy if he'd have come on yesterday either, I think the City defence would have dealt with him, but at least it would have made more sense to go with him.

Quinn31 reacted to StevO in Dominic Calvert-Lewin
I like that Dom wanted to keep playing, great attitude and commitment, but he needs someone like Dyche to manage the risk for him. I think we all knew the game was over at 2-0 anyway, so no need to risk it. We need him against Wolves more than against City.

Quinn31 reacted to Shukes in Ifs, buts and Maybes
It’s very simple at the moment. We need to earn as many points as the other teams. If we do that, we stay up.
We should concentrate on our next match and get what we can. Once that’s over, let’s concentrate on the next match.
Other teams can have a real difficult run in, but it only takes a win by the two below us, and us to gain no more points and fixture run ins are irrelevant.
Yes it’s obvious. But I would imagine the boss is talking about us and no one else.

I don't think we'd be covered in glory, but certainly we'd have another 5-7+ points and be on the lower end of midtable nowhere near the drop. What a season it could've been!

Pickford has put in a Neville southall level performance tonight. There, I’ve said it .

Quinn31 reacted to Cornish Steve in BHA 8th May
Dyche has been quite right in giving McNeil so much playing time. He knows the lad's potential, and his faith in him is justified today.

Anyone know what time Everton kicks off? Just seen Real Madrid walking through some no mark team that keep banging on about seagulls.

Watch a touch and turn from Dom. If only he was fit for more of this season...we wouldn't be here.

Quinn31 reacted to Cornish Steve in Sean Dyche
Sean Dyche is doing a decent job. The real issue is the same as it's been all season: We've had no proven striker. You can't expect to sell Richarlison and Gordon without bringing in effective replacements and hope to do well.

Quinn31 reacted to Bailey in Ifs, buts and Maybes
I think we want Saints to win that really and keep as many teams as possible in the shit.

Quinn31 reacted to Sibdane in Richarlison
He pretty much kept us up last season. We could use him in the squad right now. He had some theatrics, but he gave everything.

Quinn31 reacted to plaidharper in Sean Dyche
People in this thread and on twitter already talking about Dyche's style next season when at the beginning of the year we looked certain to go down. Does my head in. If Dyche keeps us up with our weak and threadbare squad then he more than deserves time to sort us out his way.
Coming back twice from being down to Chelsea? Ya think that is sitting back and surviving do ya? Obviously people have already forgotten things at the beginning of the season or when we were managed by that red clown. Love the fight Dyche has instilled as well as the high press. Just hope that it continues. Need to make sure we can hold the line before we progress lest we slide back into previous poor form.
Keep doing your thing Dyche 👏

I’m hearing rumblings of whether dyche gets to stay beyond this season?! Couldn’t believe my ears.
he will sort this shit show out, safe pair of hands. He will get the youth system right in terms of attitude.

Total change in mentality thar for us. Twice from behind away from home. Unheard of these last few years.
