Guess we need to try harder then

Those "look at me I'm really serious" Dan Roan interviews are embarrassing; he's just spoon feeding Southgate line after line. The man was never stepping down (sadly) despite all those nasty folks saying bad things about him.

People are desperate to find faults in Southgate, top win. First defeat Italy have had in around 30-40 games and we did it in their back yard.

Actually they've lost five in their last fifteen (including a home defeat by the giants of North Macedonia).

Total control in the first half and strolling it then Southgate's use of subs is pathetic so we hang on when it should've been routine. It's not like he just has an Everton bench to call on, man has multiple options.

We'll never win a thing with him in charge.

I thought it was a fairly decent England performance but the same traits kick in. The goals we did score were ultimately 2 set pieces however how Grealish didn't put the game to bed is beyond me.

We were playing with a back 6 at times in that second half and that is why Italy were able to come with wave after wave of attacks. Unless the ball went into Kane, who did really well, the ball was coming straight back at us.

Bellingham is a proper monster of a player, he gets bigger and better every time I see him. Philips on the other hand was bloody terrible.

How long before the calls for Wiegman to replace Southgate? 😂

Southgate will no doubt “welcome” such talk.  Probably offer to bring her in to the fold, send an electric, rainbow coloured car to collect her.

He won’t miss an opportunity to virtue signal.

vomit inducing nonsense. The fa have been an archaic bunch of nob heads for years, stood idle when John barnes was being abused, we still don’t have any officially gay men’s international player, take the knee but keep players on pitch vs Montenegro.

oooh but let’s virtue signal and say we will consider a female to succeed Southgate. Fuck off, ain’t gonna happen.  It’s a different game, a different dynamic.   I hope it does happen in the future as a result of the correct pathway being followed.  The worst thing that can happen is a woman gets the job without the correct pathway being followed as it will restrict the chances of it happening for the right reasons

tokenism… can’t stand it.

I enjoyed this read about one of the Lionesses. I hope to see more attention given in this way so we can get to know them like we've had for the men for a long time.

They do need to bring an identity to the players, at the moment they are a product. To many they are a vehicle for self promotion.
