Sibdane Posted May 22, 2014 Report Posted May 22, 2014 Looks like the Sunderland players are jumping ship. Can't say I blame them. Quote
Romey 1878 Posted May 22, 2014 Author Report Posted May 22, 2014 Hardly key players Bardsley was one of their better players since Poyet came in. Think he played every game and he was desperate to keep him. Sibdane, Bailey and Lowensda 3 Quote

Romey 1878 Posted May 23, 2014 Author Report Posted May 23, 2014 (edited) David Luiz to PSG for £40m!!!!! Somesones been smoking too much sheesha. It's done? The last I heard they were just in talks and it was £50m. Edited May 23, 2014 by Romey 1878 Quote
markjazzbassist Posted May 23, 2014 Report Posted May 23, 2014 It's done? The last I heard they were just in talks and it was £50m. i thought they were fined and could only do 60m of transfers this year from FFP sanctions? guess they're going all in on him then, blowing the kitty in one fell swoop. maybe they'll sell some players though (pastore, menez, lucas). Newty82 Posted May 23, 2014 Report Posted May 23, 2014 It's crazy! I think PSG are sticking the middle finger up at UEFA and FFP. They've had the 50million fine and thought 'yeah, whatever'. Chelsea on the other hand seem to be taking good it more seriously. Cannot believe that fee for Luiz. honestly, never been so mind blown by a transfer fee. Quote
MC11 Posted May 23, 2014 Report Posted May 23, 2014 (edited) Luiz is a very good player. But £50m??? That's just silly. I suspect they will be pairing him with thiago Silva at the back now Alex is on his way out. A £90m centre back partnership WOW! Edited May 23, 2014 by MiguelCotto Quote
Bailey Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 If Luiz actually had anything between his ears he would be a great player but he doesnt and he is a fuck up waiting to happen. Quote
Romey 1878 Posted May 28, 2014 Author Report Posted May 28, 2014 Billy Jones to Sunderland and Mauro Zarate to West Ham. Quote
Romey 1878 Posted May 29, 2014 Author Report Posted May 29, 2014 Fabianski to Swansea. I reckon Vorm's off. Quote
Steve_E Posted May 29, 2014 Report Posted May 29, 2014 Fabianski to Swansea. I reckon Vorm's off. Probably to Liverpool, right? Quote
Romey 1878 Posted May 29, 2014 Author Report Posted May 29, 2014 Probably to Liverpool, right? Can't see him happy being a number 2 to Mignolet. Quote
Steve_E Posted May 29, 2014 Report Posted May 29, 2014 Can't see him happy being a number 2 to Mignolet. Mignolet would be the number 2. Quote
Romey 1878 Posted May 29, 2014 Author Report Posted May 29, 2014 Mignolet would be the number 2. You think so? I like Mignolet more than Vorm, think he's a better keeper (especially in the long-term). Matt 1 Quote
Steve_E Posted May 29, 2014 Report Posted May 29, 2014 You think so? I like Mignolet more than Vorm, think he's a better keeper (especially in the long-term). I think they could be looking to replace him. He has had a very panicky season imo. Quote
Hafnia Posted May 29, 2014 Report Posted May 29, 2014 To be a top class keeper you need to have a "don't care what you think" attitude. It is the only thing that helps when they make a mistake. Mignolet looked top class when he first went to Liverpool, as the odd mistake crept in he looked less and less "confident". The likes of Southall, Grobbelaar, Schmichael, Van Der Saar and all the recent great german keepers used to blame anyone but themselves - they really did not think they copuld be held responsible. Guest blueboy122 Posted May 29, 2014 Report Posted May 29, 2014 You think so? I like Mignolet more than Vorm, think he's a better keeper (especially in the long-term). Agreed I think Vorm is a good shot stopper but I would have Mignolet any day over Vorm. Quote
Guest blueboy122 Posted May 29, 2014 Report Posted May 29, 2014 Is Begovic going to stay at Stoke for another season? Seriously good keeper. Quote
MC11 Posted May 29, 2014 Report Posted May 29, 2014 Thought mignolet was one of the better keepers in the league can't see them replacing him anytime soon Quote
Guest Nikica Posted May 29, 2014 Report Posted May 29, 2014 (edited) He was obviously a controversial individual but RIP to Malcolm Glazer. Never nice to see anyone lose their life - I hope Man United fans can be classy about it as most of them dislike the Glazer family (understandable). As for Mignolet, I like him as a 'keeper but I'm not sure he's good enough to be playing for a team which aims to win the title every season, which is probably what Liverpool aspire to be. I think Vorm is the better goalkeeper as of now. Begovic is excellent and better than both, imo. Great all-round goalkeeper. Edited May 29, 2014 by Nikica Quote
Steve_E Posted May 29, 2014 Report Posted May 29, 2014 Ciro Immobile to Dortmund apparently a done deal for €19m. Quote

Cornish Steve Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 Maybe I'm missing something, but I though the transfer window opens on July 1. How come this and other deals are going through already? Quote
