Newty82
Anyone else find the "we thought we had a deal agreed but then because of XYZ it has fallen through" line getting a bit tedious... If Mohsiri wasnt here I would be saying typical Bill with his BS again. If we are honest, that's actually true. BK would be getting it torn from all angles. If all stays as it is now, It'll be interesting hearing from the club in what exactly went wrong with these extra 2 - 4 players. And I don't mean that in am antagonistic manner. Romey 1878
I know we're supposed to be freaking out right now, but we've done relatively good business this window, all things considered. Yes, some of the names we were linked with would've been great. But, we can't force them to come here or force their clubs to sell. And, for those players who were very available, the money valuation compared to their ability makes for some expensive bullshit. We've signed some solid players for some solid bargains (bar Bolasie for the price we paid). If we don't blow our money in the summer, it leaves us with more in January, where we might really need it, after four months of assessing where the squad is at. We will be in a better position financially than the clubs who reached during this window. So, it's not all shit. Saying we'll spend in January instead has just made me have to remind myself that Kenwright doesn't run things any more. Sounds awfully like something our fans say after every shit summer transfer window. Then in January when we do fuck all it'll be "January is a bad market, we'll spend in the summer." Moshiri did but a stake in Everton, didn't he? I didn't imagine it?

Aidan
People are taking positives but also forgetting that it was the clubs intentions to bring in several more players after Bolasi. They've planned around it. Sibdane

It is a bit frustrating. We do need extra faces. I was expecting a few signings. Plus a couple out. But what can you do? We clearly don't want to throw money around on anyone, it's been frustrating for many fans and people at the club. markjazzbassist

Bailey
How many players would you all be genuinely happy to have to play the rest of the season with because that in my opinion is a true test of depth? Mine would be: Stek Baines Jags / Williams / Mori Coleman / Holgate Barry Gana / McCarthy Mirallas / Gerry / Bolasie / Barkley Lukaku Others can chip in for a game here or there and Davies / Dowell may be able to come in and hold their own but that leaves us with 15 genuine first team starters and most of them are in the attacking midfielder or winger roles. 2 of them will also be in Africa in January. Lowensda
I reckon Koeman is absolutely fuming. He wanted 4/5 in before the end of window, he's got 1...under 21 player. Someone. Somewhere. Keeps fucking these deals up. Even if it's not just the 1 person, the strategy was a fucking shocker. Put all your eggs in one basket and wait for TDD. Holy crap. It sounds like some of the parent clubs knew they weren't going to sell (Napoli) so why did we wait until the morning of deadline day to see if we can resurrect it again? We can't help players turn us down but from the outside it still looks as if the other deals were not sorted prior to the day. Elston Gunnn
If Barkley gets injured we haven't got a natural CAM to replace him with. I'm glad we didn't sign Sissoko, but the Barkley backup is an issue. I suppose Cleverley might fill in very occasionally there. Amd I wouldn't mknd seeing Deulofeu there at some point, with 2 of Mirallas, Bolasie, Lennon on the wings. I guess Kone and Mirallas, possibly Deulofeu, are backup strikers? Enner Valencia at 22:59? Newty82
I honestly don't get this Valencia one (although no noise on that for a couple of hours!). Was good at first but went well off radar.
Lowensda
Walsh apparently waited too long on the Lucas deal. Kenwright (according to Moshiri) was still working deals. I mean come on Moshiri man, fuck BK off, the incompetent fool. It's not like this hasn't happened 8/10 windows.

Not that I'm blaming...just saying that he is still running it. Come on, we all know Kenwright is more of a figurehead now. Walsh sorts transfers and Moshiri is the money man. Kenwright's there for if we need someone to get all gushy about the Boys Pen. New structure but absolutely nothing has changed. And that includes our fans swallowing the bullshit. Newty82
my wager would be walsh. he's never done this job before. or does bill negotiate the deals? A DoF doesn't do the deals.
