Bailey Posted August 13, 2016 Report Share Posted August 13, 2016 Cant disagree with the above but went for Geri as when you consider that was his first top flight start as a striker, his link up play, movement and work rate were excellent, its just a shame he couldn't finish off a chance or play a killer final ball. MOTM was Gana for me, but happy with the team on the whole. A second goal would have been nice. Can't wait to see us with a few more additions. Also, the atmosphere was back today! If Everton were better in the first half they must have been good as I thought we played well in the second. Our defence was a lot more solid, other than the goal when we didn't pick up the runner. I thought the goalkeeper was excellent. Big strong lad, dominated the area, got a good kick on him too. Impressed with the new lad too. Watch him dominate that midfield game in game out. If he stays injury free he should feature every single game. Mirallas, deulofeu and Baines all impressed me today too and the goalie showed why we don't need to sign another keeper, if he plays like that all season I wouldn't care, he's already impressed me pre season. I love rom and back him almost to a fault and yet I would agree with you. That high press RK likes, Gerry has bought into, I don't see rom hustling his ass off defenders non stop for 70' sadly.
