dunlopp9987 Posted January 25, 2021 Report Posted January 25, 2021 Well Spurs it is. I'm wondering if the lack of fans has allowed the talent of the bigger clubs to more or less dominate the cup this year. I look at City's game against Chesterfield and today's Spurs game, wonder how much the crowd noise would've made a difference when the home teams were leading StevO 1 Quote

The games are more like training games and the intensity isn't as high, or is at least, harder to maintain over 90 minutes. dunlopp9987 1 Quote
duncanmckenzieismagic Posted February 11, 2021 Report Posted February 11, 2021 Gutted we got City but I suppose we have to play them at some point if we want to win it so might as well be at Goodison Quote
barryj Posted February 11, 2021 Report Posted February 11, 2021 The only team I wanted to avoid. Saying that it would be typical Everton to beat them and then get knocked out in next round. MikeO and Romey 1878 2 Quote
milesey05 Posted February 11, 2021 Report Posted February 11, 2021 Wkd 20th March. Hopefully DCL fit and raring to go with a fully fit squad. Quote
Romey 1878 Posted February 11, 2021 Report Posted February 11, 2021 Been thinking all day we'd get them. Oh well, it is what it is. Quote
Zoo 2.0 Posted February 11, 2021 Report Posted February 11, 2021 Not overly arsed to be honest, if you're in the last eight and scared of the opposition then you don't deserve to be in the competition. It is what it is, if we beat them we have unbelievable momentum to go up against the smaller teams. Edit: Worth noting that just a few days before the FA Cup game, City need to play their second leg against Borussia Mönchengladbach. Hopefully it's a close tie and they go to extra time with a full strength squad. Wiggytop, StevO, RuffRob and 1 other 4 Quote
markjazzbassist Posted February 11, 2021 Report Posted February 11, 2021 the good news is if we manage to beat city there is no one left i'm scared of. just have to play our game against them, carlo is well versed in pep's style. Quote
Palfy Posted February 11, 2021 Report Posted February 11, 2021 We are at home so that’s a slight advantage, plus they will have a busy schedule with the CL games coming thick and fast. I’d rather have avoided them but not to phased we normally give them a very good game. Quote
milesey05 Posted February 11, 2021 Report Posted February 11, 2021 Champions league week before! Was hoping the week after so they play more squad players. RuffRob 1 Quote
