Romey 1878
He’s out for a minimum of 6 weeks after surgery has been avoided. Be touch and go with the Euros I would imagine.

When i saw it i winced in pain as it looked similar to how I did my ankle just over 2 months ago... I still have about 4-5 weeks of rehab & shockwave therapy, plus 2 completely ruptured ligaments. For him to come back on the pitch until half time after that, he is all heart!
Romey 1878
I read it wrong and surgery may not have been avoided. He'll be seeing a specialist today and will find out then. Fingers crossed for him.

My ankles are a complete mess from repeated ligament strains playing on awful pitches and not recovering properly and strapping them up with masking tape. Any slight deviation in the pavement can have me rolling my ankle at a 90 degree angle. I had a bone spur removed 10 years ago and the surgeon said my ankle was a mess - covered in scar tissue and signs of arthritis. the long and short of it is every time I did my ankle I felt like spewing up..... he did a severe tear I think. To even contemplate playing on is exactly why I love him. He was in pain, knew he done it badly yet wanted to get back out there dunlopp9987, Wiggytop and Palfy 2
Romey 1878
Mike is going to love this from the BBC. Everton defender Vitaliy Mykolenko will not play again this season after damaging ankle ligaments in the 2-0 win over Liverpool. The 24-year-old, who has made 28 appearances for the Blues in the Premier League this season, was substituted at half-time of last week's Merseyside derby. A club statement said left-back Mykolenko had been assessed by a specialist and will not need to have surgery, but did not put a timescale on his recovery. Everton are 15th in the table and guaranteed their top-flight safety with a 1-0 victory over Brentford on Saturday.

I thought Myko went off in the Brentford game at half time and they got the game wrong. I'm the one that got the game wrong and I will now go back to bed .
