If I remember rightly a club official on twitter (or maybe the Greg O'Keefe?) said that the fee was substantially less. I always thought it was less than £1mil. I'd love for Moyes to find more playing time for him but that's kind of hard given the forms of Baines and Pienaar. Not sure what the solution is.
