Matt
I'd be made up if he stayed tbh. For all his faults he's an excellent player to have in the squad. An impact sub who can get more and more time to build up his stamina. I really don't want him to go.
Shukes
I'd be made up if he stayed tbh. For all his faults he's an excellent player to have in the squad. My thinking too. He needs games and pitch time. He should come back with something to prove. He makes me feel like something just hasn't clicked....yet. DavisJD
The Spain U21 side will teach us a little more of what's to come hopefully. Gerry captain, with some unbelievable talent around him, highlights of game 1, ?? Spain V Macedonia ?? http://m.footytube.com/video/all-goals-highlights-spain-u-21-5-0-macedonia-u-21-17-06-2017-498693
Hafnia
He looks as fit as a fiddle but it's weird how poor his natural fitness levels are. Rooney for example looks a slob but has always had remarkable natural fitness..
Sibdane
I'm really hoping he stays. He still has plenty of time for growth and adds an option from the bench at the very least. With Europa coming up, we need as much quality depth as possible.
Newty82
Hasn't he had a load of games in Italy but the question over his stamina still exists?

Rooney for example looks a slob but has always had remarkable natural fitness.. to me that is more drive than anything. rooney has the drive regardless of stamina or fitness, he wants to win. gerry doesn't have the drive. throws up his arms, has fits, walks around, acts like a spoiled child. drive isn't there. if it doesn't come easy he wants no part in it. he's not messi but he thinks he is. pete0
From sky shorts Man of the match - Gerard Deulofeu Spain's captain delivered when they most nedeed him. The Everton winger pulled the strings and provided many genuine attacking opportunities throughout his 82 minutes. Deulofeu grabbed the assist for Sandro's goal, which was an accurate low cross into the Malaga striker's path
Bailey
Same old Gerry for me tonight. Equally brilliant and frustrating. Well maybe not so brilliant but the one thing that epitomised him today was that he got 1 v 1 against the full back, but had a man free 8 yards out. Instead of playing the cutback he tries his step over and kicks the ball into touch for a goal kick. On the other side of the pitch Asenjio who doesn't have that x factor Gerry has, get 1 v 1, lays it off to Saul who puts it in the back of the net. chalkpie
I'm not so arsed losing Gerry after watching him tonight. I agree he does have loads of talent, but doesn't always know how to maximize it. I think he'll be great in about 4-5 years when he matures and learns more. jofanon
I want him back - I think he's a really talent personally Maybe he doesn't start every game but what a player to bring on - tons of pace and tekkers, he has a real X factor Matt

Lowensda
I don't think he wants to be here but he doesn't want to be on Barca's bench either. Elston Gunnn
Haiku
I don't know, he showed class on the Euros. I wish Koeman promise him more time on the field and get him to work harder on his fitness. This lad has real talent and surely can become integral part of our team, just need some faith from his manager.

Bailey
Very hot and cold again tonight. Practically useless when the team are without the ball but the more Spain got in the game the more he started to pull the strings. I really don't see him making an impact at Barca. Newty82
Thing is, we were fucked either way! If he had an absolute stormer for us, scored 10 and assisted 10, Barca could buy him back at what would have been a bargain price. If he went out on loan and had a good turn, Barca could but him back at a good price. What a shit deal that was.
Newty82
Oh, and defo not good enough for Barca. I can see this just being a money maker for them. The market has blew up, again! Loan him out, sell him for £20mill back to the Premiership next season.
Bailey
I think we get a large sell on fee when Barca do sell him. I also don't think they can sell him in the first season. Best case is that he does well enough to get a big move somewhere and we get a big cut of it!
