duncanmckenzieismagic
Really hope it's nothing too serious and he's only out weeks and not months. It's unfortunate how hamstring injuries are some of the worst to recover from, many times a player thinks he's ready to come back only to sprint out too much and suddenly, you reaggrivate it. It sounds like he is going to be out dor months if Roberto's comments abour him targetting a return for the final third of the season are anything to go by
Romey 1878
Gutted about this . He was just starting to build himself up and now he'll be back to square one whenever he makes a return. Although, this might be helpful in us being able to get him on loan for another season?
Guest
Yeah I was thinking in the long term we might get him for another season now. We need proper reinforcements in January. At least two creative players and a striker

Suddenly, we're looking pretty thin out in the wings. When Baines returns, we're suddenly down to Oviedo (which plays on the wings as a LW/LWB for Costa Rica and has looked solid) and Naismith (a hard worker but not too great). We definitely need to reinforce this transfer window, like Trev pointed out. Quinn31
Shukes
gutted! He has made even looking at the team sheet before a match so exciting in recent weeks. I really hope the kid comes back soon and strong. I am ordering my short for Christmas with his name on as a show of support haha! Seriously am gutted though. Been a shining star in a sky full of them the last few weeks.

Cornish Steve
This will make him forever superstitious about playing S teams: Swansea, Sunderland, Southampton, and Stoke are the likely games he'll miss.

Guest
Good news that. You can't rush a hamstring so I reckon it's going to be a month full rest
Cornish Steve
I wonder how this affects our deal with Barca - given that we pay more when he plays fewer games.

Toffee_in_LA
Martinez says he could be out for 5 weeks. Sad part is that hamstring injuries can't be rushed whatsover. If RM says 5 weeks, I'd honestly add on a couple more weeks to that. So unfortunate for Gerry, he was really starting to develop.

markjazzbassist
So 2 months off means he will be back in middle February. I really hope this means well get him again next year. Bummer of an injury but could pay off in the long run.
FCBarça
MD is pretty much a club paper Deulofeu and Rafinha, now on loan at Everton and Celta, will return in the summer and be part of the first team squad next season. markjazzbassist
I don't see how he would get any minutes unless they transferred a couple players, but if he goes back so be it. It was a loan after all and well find someone else.

Maybe he will take Messi's place in the side, who in turn wont want to sit on the bench and so would fancy a season long loan at Everton Sibdane

Peter H
Messi is going to PSG anyway. ...in the summer of course. I really dont think that this will happen. And if it did, cant see Messi and Ibra in the same team. We can take Ibra for a couple of seasons.
StevO
Is Messi to PSG a genuine rumour? Or just some random made up crap?
msloan78
I think the Messi to PSG rumours have been doing the rounds for a bit now. There are only a handful of teams that realistically could afford a transfer fee and his wages. PSG Real and probably Man City could maybe afford him.
StevO
If he was available I would think City would just tell them to name their price and pay whatever it takes. Whether he would be interested, Barcelona is much nicer than Manchester. Quinn31
Sibdane
Is Messi to PSG a genuine rumour? Or just some random made up crap? I don't think there are. I saw a write-up about it a couple of weeks ago, but the main argument for Messi moving to PSG is that they could afford to pay his fee/wages. It also said Ibra and Messi had a good relationship despite how Ibra feels about Barca (Pep) in general.
