Lowensda
What does Koeman see in him?
Paddock
Robles should have been goven until the end of the season. He'd done enough for that. Koemans got it wrong bringing Stek backin for Joel.

MikeO
I agree. It was pretty harsh on Joel. Will Stek now be dropped for the pathetic effort for the second goal? If Ron is consistent he should be.
Shukes
Neither are good enough.... sorry but it's that simple. We can't keep making excuses for these pair.

Stek is the better shot stopper but makes mistakes. Robles is more commanding but makes mistakes. Sorry but neither are good enough.

Robles is more commanding but makes mistakes. Sorry but neither are good enough. I'm not saying either are good enough, but Joel is better than Stek for me. Everything that Stek does worries me - he comes for balls he shouldn't come for and fails to come for balls he definitely should be dealing with, he's slow as shit off his line, he flaps at too much, doesn't communicate. I'd even argue he's not a great shot stopper like you suggest. I remember when we played Southampton last season and he was in during Forsters injury lay-off and all I could think was "I hope we shoot from everywhere because this fella is shite". Today he should've held on to a shot and instead pushed it out into the middle of our penalty area! Joel may not be the answer but Stek is truly abysmal. He's 100% the better of the two in my opinion and although he's not the man for us I think if he goes to a mid level club and gets a full season or two he will be held in high regards. Shukes
Can't agree mate. My views on them both are clear. Joel had a good record until he faced shots. I can save twenty shots that hit my chest and have great stats. Put one to the side of me and I'm as good as Joel haha. He's a nice guy, but not very good. Stek manages the average saves but then seems to wear greasy gloves. Nothing wrong with others rating him, I just don't. Be glad to take a trip to the vault though if he ever proves me wrong. Aidan
At least we can agree that we need a new man come summer in between the sticks eh Shukes. Which is all that really matters. I'll cry if we don't sign a number 1. holystove
Shukes
Agreed. We need at least one new signing in goal. Don't think there's any young lads coming through with much promise.
Cornish Steve
Would struggle in the Championship. As a backup, I was happy because he's got a wealth of experience to share. But game day... hes terrible. Let me rewrite: He DID struggle in the Championship. Before we brought him to Everton, he was the backup at a Championship team, right? markjazzbassist
Let me rewrite: He DID struggle in the Championship. Romey 1878
I don't think it's any coincidence that for the past 2 games this fella been back in and our CB's have looked like a pair of nervous kids. Oh and he has lead fucking feet. Matt
aaron
Let me rewrite: He DID struggle in the Championship. Before we brought him to Everton, he was the backup at a Championship team, right? Considering he was out on loan at Southampton last season, the season before he was on loan at Monaco and altogether has played 0 times in the championship I'd come to the conclusion of... you're wrong His parent club was Fulham, where he didn't have the opportunity to be first choice or back up for this season before we bought him. All that said, he's shite and we need to keep him as 3rd choice or get rid. Edited May 8, 2017 by aaron
Paddock
Fulham loaned him out to get him off the wage bill. He was in the championship on premier league wages.

EFC-Paul
I would have liked him here prior to him going over to Torino but after seeing a fair bit of him and the majority of it wasn't pleasant viewing I'd rather look elsewhere Great enthusiasm and at commanding players but he's looked piss poor on a whole in a fairly weak league Sibdane
