Koeman doesn't strike me as someone who gives a shit what other people think.

He looked like he give a shit in Saturday. His bedraggled snide part and tentative expressions.

"His bedraggled snide part and tentative expressions" -  what does that mean?

Sounds like the start of a 70's porno novel.

I actually have a well thumbed copy of that, I'd tell you how it ends but you probably already know. Why do pizza delivery guys get all the fun?

Personally unsworth may not be the answer but koeman most certainly isn't... not when I see a reaction like this to niasse' goal..

Come on man, you've cooked it there. Its an equaliser against Bournemouth at home.

I feel this is not the trench you want to die in, its been a disappointing start to the season so I don't think anyone would begrudge you a reset.

I see it as a strength, so I don't think it's a problem at all!

 Your opinion mate.

myself, it shows a lack of respect. Probably the type of person that thinks respect has to be earnt as well.

When you don't care about people's opinions, it shows that you don't count their opinions.

Again each to their own and not saying I'm right, just different.

Rightly or wrongly, he has to stand by his own views and not worry about what people like us fans think.

Now, his decisions may turn out to be wrong but at least that way he's falling on his own sword.

I see what your saying.

but I have watched so many people lose out or fail due to this same ideology. Well at least I stood by my own fuck up.

Well if you would have been smart enough to listen, you might not have failed at all.

Not caring about opinions is not the same as not caring about what people think of your decisions; I'm sure he listens to his coaching staff's opinions (or else why employ them?). But then he makes the final decision and the buck stops with him. He'll listen to his backroom staff but not media, pundits or internet warriors.

He's just making the decisions he believes are right and he can't afford to be indecisive, or worry about what you or I think. That's not a good way to be for a football manager imo.

Again, he may turn out to be wrong but he'll be able to accept that because it was due to him being true to what he believes.

I may back him but I've been pretty pissed with some of the things he's done, but at the same time I can respect where he's coming from. I like his way and I'm not going to be one that picks and chooses which bits of him I can accept.

Again, you've put it much better than me!

Here though Shukes, the guys are chatting about opinions from people who are not in the same circle.

I'm sure if Sir Alex Ferguson called him up, he'd more than respect his input. But some media divvy? Or a randomer from nowhere?

If a randomer came up to you in the street and said you were shit at your job and you should quit tomorrow, you'd respect that and take it on board?

Big difference between listening to someone's opinions and choosing your own council.....

and not giving a shit what people think.

which is what I was responding to.

Same as above Newty. Responding to the sentence that I quoted, which isn't a strength for me.

Mans it's a poor man who is t prepared to listen to a persons opinion who isn't sharing their field.

a football manager that doesn't give a shit about his fans opinions is an egotistical knob, bluntly.

Is that too much?

Yes.

Because how can a football manager be expected to give a shit about every fans opinion, when the opinions are so various and generally spontaneous, to the point that they are contradicting?

It's not that he won't give a shit about our opinions, it's that our opinions won't offer a consistent outcome. And are therefore pretty useless!!!

Well Newty, you are taking a comment and expanding it to encompass people as individuals.

Again the comment was that he doubts Koeman gives a shot about what people think.

it wasn't that he doesn't think Koeman listens to every fans opinion and makes his decisions from them.... was it? No need to answer that one, you know just as well as I do already.

now if you still find that a strength, then fine, that's your own council and not mine to change. But for me it was a weakness that o used to have....then I got older and wiser gained the knowledge that I wasn't as smart as I dreamt, nowhere near. Still aren't. But I do know to respect people's opinions whether I agree with them or not.

big difference between not giving a shit about what people think and keeping your own council.

To be clear... it's the Koeman not giving a shit comment I am talking about.....that's all.... no twisting... no expanding.... just that.

now just accept that I am right and let's move on... your opinion doesn't count!

So you're saying he should listen to the fans opinions and change his to match theirs?

Is that what you're saying or am I missing the jist here?

Twat haha.

not sure whether you just hooked me or are serious haha.

just incase your serious, no nothing like that. That wasn't what I quoted at all. To be fair Romey even pointed out that Mike put it in a better way, and I'm sure after he said that, that his original post wasn't literally meant like that.

second part of Newty post for example, is spot on. And I'm not saying in anyway... haven't typed it anywhere..... challenge in there....that he should be listening to contradicting opinions and acting of them.

my only point is that you should give a shot about what people think. You don't have to act of them, just respect them. That's what makes a man a better man for me.

now you guys leave me alone. Your like a pack of wolfs once the scent drops haha.
