Blue Bill's shiny new stadium at the docks...

They are doing this to stay in the public eye, when it eventually happens they can claim the credit. It will happen one day so of course it is closer now than yesterday. For that matter everything is closer now than yesterday apart from the past.

If we ignore them they might just get a shift on with it. Until we actually have hard facts, what is the point in fretting or getting uptight.

Can you imagine? Right on the waterfront? What club has that the potential for such an iconic stadium for the next 100 years? This is dreamland shit. I'm telling you big things are gonna happen in the next 18 months. Usmanov will be next

We'd be in a nice iconic stadium and the shite will be stuck revamping their stadium bit by bit. Sweet.

Admittedly not clued up on the location but looking at it on maps etc it looks great and as good as we will likely get

I'd love us to announce this and it all go ahead an iconic waterfront stadium will open up multiple doors investment and revenue wise

Fingers crossed!!

Liverpool City Council and Everton deny stadium plans

Liverpool City Council and Everton have denied claims by the city's mayor that a new stadium for the football club is "closer than it’s ever been".

Joe Anderson wrote on Twitter that the stadium was "closer now than it was last month" and hinted at a location when asked by a site user by using the phrase "the Moore the merrier" - which may be a reference to Bramley Moore dock.

However, both the club and council today confirmed that they are still looking at alternative sites within the city.

The Toffees have been working with Liverpool City Council to find a replacement for Goodison Park, where they have played since 1892. Earlier this year, plans for a new stadium at Walton Hall Park were abandoned
