Palfy
I think we've done our money and the wages bill is to high and we need to off load some expensive shit before we can start recruiting. StevO
markjazzbassist
1. Brands has stated publicly many times he doesn't like the january window 2. We aren't pushing for top 4 and barely for top 7, saving the money and investing more wisely in the summer is the better long game 3. Wage bill and transfer spend has been astronomical lately, it needs to even out eventually 4. We don't have many injuries (for once) so reinforcements for that are not needed some or all of the above i figure Matt
AlbanyNYToffee
Not sussed at all by the lack of signings. Was hoping, however, that there would be more sales. Take advantage of desperate teams. Bolasie would be a great start but Schneiderlin and Browning should be sold. Can we not convert the loans to permanent deals for Sandro, Pennington, Mirallas, Martina and Tarashaj at least? Williams and Garbutt are free agents in the summer. I don't even need big money signings. I'm confident a couple pieces here and there in the summer could really help us. RB and CM being the big ones we need to sign for me. nutmegwolf203 and pete0
Palfy
We need one big money signing in midfield this player needs to have been there and done it before he needs to be someone the rest of the team would look up to, he needs to be an all rounder be able to tackle defend pass go forward and get the odd goal, and most importantly he needs to be a leader he has to be able to give direction fire fucks into others when needed. Brands go find he's out there somewhere, and with a RB and CF to follow we won't be far away.
Shukes
No team will convert the loans into sales early, it’s just not beneficial in any way. Makes no sense at all. The players may have interested parties, but they are on loan at the moment and aren’t going anywhere. We need to let the loans run down and then make the next step with them. Shukes
As long as we don’t seel Gana, I can wait till the summer. If we sell him we need to have a replacement come in first.

We have Davies who has shown that isn’t the same level, McCarthy that hasn’t played in months. And Benni that’s all but disappeared back to the U23s. Last time Gana don’t play we lost 6-2. I would say we need a replacment before we let him go. Regardless of you dating him or not, you must see that we are weak in that department. Bailey
If we sold Gana we would be selling our 2nd best midfielder, and the only midfielder we have (other than McCarthy) in that mould who is proven at that level this season. We need midfielders without selling a member of the starting 11 first. I would still be tempted with a massive offer because I think it would exceed his value and his importance that team on the assumption that we others lined up and ready to sign to replace him. Theoretically though this would leave us with a completely new midfield for next season if Gomes doesnt sign, which isnt ideal either. Sibdane
Theory: lack of signings (especially a striker) tells me Moshiri is holding his buck until Marco proves he's up to the task. It's also just a theory. I'm sure reducing the wage bill is more the reason. pete0
Finn balor
I don’t think the signings depend on the manager. This season is a write off now, if the players aren’t there what’s the point? It’s all about next season now

StevO
Of course he does, but the idea is that a director of football oversees all these things and then keeps the continuity should the manager need to be replaced. markjazzbassist
