I have 5 years until 40 and I can't see me reaching it.

I think I have more chance of making it the moon than Everton have of making it to 40 points

I think you've been very generous with those points there! 😳 😫
We need a huge turnaround in form to even consider getting anywhere near 40 points.
Is DCL gonna stay fit and be the difference for us between now and the end of the season?
Can we bring in sufficient quality firepower before the end of the month that can guarantee us more goals?
These are the two questions, at this point in time, that will dictate whether we go down or not?
Sadly, I'm not confident that the answer is positive in any regard.

Feel sorry for Lampard as he would be an ideal manager for us to grow and develop a young squad around. He fell in love with the club and re-built trust with a fans. But sadly, the board have chewed him up, he is stuck between an arrogant, pathetic board, who have no business being near our club having failed again and again and again, a chairman who has no clue about how to run a club, and a fan base that is toxic.

Gordon is fucking brain dead, they will have said all week no free kicks arond the box, that soft twat gives the softest of kicks away, its all well and good blaming frank, but this bunch are brain dead, and  clueless.

Mykolenko makes good runs forward but only gets the ball 1 in 10 times. Look at the worldie gray scored against City - he doesn’t get that space in the box if Myko doesn’t make that 50 yard run and take 2 defenders away.
Also against United he was in a good position in their box but unlucky with how quick it came to him.
Absolutely he needs to improve his game going forward but he doesn’t get much reward for the runs he makes.
Stick with him, he’s fighting for the club - the quality will come.

Dom is no where near match fit - he has now been injured for most part of over a season now. So time is needed for him to be back to his best - you just now hope and pray he stays fit and injury free to the end of the season. If he doesn't I fear we go down.
Our single biggest problem is that we do not have a viable striker to replace him when he isn't fit. And to me that is not something that Lampard can be really blamed for - Lampard will have been desperate for another striker, particularly when Dom was injured at the beginning of this season.  The club did not get anything over the line (most likely because we had no money to spend when it really needed), and the team are struggling to finish chances and score goals.
If Dom (or another proven striker) was available for most of our games I am fairly sure we could quite easily be 5-6 better off at this moment in time, and sitting mid tableish.
We know Lampard is not the finished article as a manager, he has limited experience and ability and I don't really expect him to work miracles as a manager and coach - he has not been there and seen it all. He is however, an intelligent and articulate, passionate and hardworking chap, who I think could develop in to a very good manager, in the same way an inexperienced Onana can develop in to a very good midfielder. Signs of good stuff and signs of poor decisions from both - intelligent people often learn more from bad decisions, but time and patience is required.
The board and to some extent us fans can lack patience, because its in tough moments like we are currently in when they are actually truly tested.
It seems to me that Lampard has not lost the dressing room in anyway, and the players are fully behind him. If people are just hoping for the new manager bounce effect to get some points on the board, I am not sure how well this actually works when you sack a manager who the players are with and behind.

So as it stands. We want to get rid of the following:
    Manager.
    Coaches.
    Owner.
    Chairman.
    Board of Directors.
    DoF.
    Half the squad.

So we’re asking for the club to go into insolvency?
Shall we start a thread asking people’s opinions on the clubs new name and identity?

100% all down to Moshiri, and his absence from Goodison for possibly a year now proves what a spineless low life prick he is, no balls and no idea he's making Everton in the image of himself.

I just hope they show the spirit they showed against the shite, and city, and not what they showed against wolves and Bournemouth.
Its no good just being up for it in so called big games, When in fact the teams around us are the big games.
Although Brighton  are not in a relegation battle, they are home game we must win.

One thing I will say is that this is a team that is playing for him. I don't get the impression at all that they don't believe in Lampard - maybe they don't believe in themselves at times but they are with their manager. It's not like under the previous incumbent where it was like they were just going through the motions, they're all still together and trying to be better.
We aren't playing well enough, we all acknowledge that (fans, players, management) but if they're all still together and on the same page then that is absolutely something we can all work with and get behind.

    This.
We're playing poorly but in a lot of games we're still making chances and if even if just a couple are put away at the right times things look a bit better for us.
A lot of our problems in terms of results stem from missed chances then causing heads and confidence to drop. Look at the Palace game - we took our chances and we played some very good football in that game. Wolves is the opposite to that.

We’ve had some dreadful players recently. This fella right up there. Almost unwatchable. Horrific touch. Terribly slow. Tactically unaware. Hope he’s one season and done here.

Will be driving down from Edinburgh which is where I am for New Years / Hogmanay. Staying just the one night in Liverpool. Going to grab some Indian and some pints before the match. Hopefully we can take the positive result against City forward to the Brighton game!

Now is the time to find out if he can stay fit (ever) again. If he gets hurt we open the checkbook. If he doesn't we might just win a few games...and we hopefully still open the checkbook
Would be so Everton to protect him in January, not sign cover and he gets hurt in early February. His career and our season are at risk of going off the rails, time to see what he and we are made of.

Haha I never pick them to lose so if you see me pick a draw it means i'm expecting them to lose. In this case, big. Perhaps that's why I never do well in this pool.

I would play him.  He can stroll around by himself up front with not much to do for the most part so not too much running about all over.
He is better at hold the ball up when we can get it out to him than Maupay and he is also better for defending set pieces.
Added to that he's more likely to get in the right place and take a chance if we manage to get one.
Give him 60 minutes or so and see how he's getting on.
I'd rather that than throw him on towards the end of the game for a run out when the game is lost and he's then struggling to get up to speed with the action.

I don’t think the club brought Maupay in as a replacement striker for Dom. He was brought in to supplement Dom.

Ideally we would have liked to have brought in another striker, but that’s not as easy as we presume it is.
Im not sure anyone predicted that Dom would be injured this much.
