Lowensda Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 Ha, someone randomly plucked his name out on another forum and a media outlet has run a story. Quote
Makis Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 And that story was linked in the Echo as well. Quote
efc1111 Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 (edited) An experienced player with bags of ability, Nolito enjoyed a fantastic season with Celta last year – where he scored 14 goals in 35 appearances and helped guide the club to a fine 9th placed finish. The 27-year old predominantly operates on the left wing but can also play behind the striker and Martinez is hoping to tempt his Spanish compatriot to join him at Goodison Park as he looks to strengthen his side’s attacking department. He sounds like the type we should be looking at, but the article reckons they're looking for around £8m and who knows what transfer funds we have left? Edited August 6, 2014 by efc1111 Quote
Peter H Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 He sounds like the type we should be looking at, but the article reckons they're looking for around £8m and who knows what transfer funds we have left? Should have plenty more if we are only paying 5 up front for Lukaku and 4 for Besic. Quote

StevO Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 Should have plenty more if we are only paying 5 up front for Lukaku and 4 for Besic. Not really, as we pay for most transfers over a few years, the budget will still be the same. Quote
JoeQuince Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 Hell of an interview, if that's what we are seeing here (which is very very doubtful) Quote
markjazzbassist Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 don't let him leave liverpool. sign him immediately and get him in saturday versus the german team. Quote
Bailey Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 It was noticeable that he didnt get anywhere near the same amount of joy up against Stones. He looked very good but I think Hibbert made him look better. Quote

Toffee_in_LA Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 I remember watching him play while he was at Benfica with a fellow Portuguese friend of mine (don't worry, I'm no haf with all his connections) and I was impressed with how well he played there. He indeed played on the left most of the time and his sheer ability to beat a man was outstanding. At 8 million, I would approve of the purchase and believe he would thrive here. And based on what he showed this game, RM should definitely take a serious look at him (if he hasn't already). Quote
Brett Angel Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 He's just gone from £8million to £18million inside 90 minutes. Quote
Matt Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 Hibbert absent, Barkley caught sleeping twice and Stones a bit too complacent. Lessons to be learnt indeed... Quote

Matt Posted August 13, 2014 Report Posted August 13, 2014 11:30 Celta Vigo winger Nolito has been linked with a move to Everton after netting a pre-season hat-trick against the Toffees, but he has sought to play down summer transfer talk. I’m happy here, I still have three years left on this contract and the only thing I can say is that my thoughts are to be here for many years. Quote

markjazzbassist Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 Ranked 5th leading scorer in la liga. Bring him in bobby. He tore us up in preseason and is doing the same in la liga. Him and mirallas together would be insane. Sign him bob. Quote
Btay Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 Who ever we get, we need another winger in ASAP Quote
